OK we grief-trained Copper Springs into leaving us alone, but Copper Creek hasn't gotten the message. They may be purposely splitting the work of putting us to task between their two towns of 70 just so allow one to grow while another is griefed.
Anyway, got knocked out right on cue, so I'm sleeping.

I think we should continue gangraping both of them indiscriminately. Although I think I'm personally going to stick with Copper Creek for future raids; they've got way more people in my level range to pick from.

Duel targets could possibly be better coordinated. Particularly, I'm thinking priority 1 is duelers who are in the right level range to slightly annoy schild and the other active builders. And Priorty 2 is builders who are actually active. One benefit of having a mole would be seeing their build log to see which builders actually build. Priority 0, of course, is people who are already almost dead.
I am strongly considering writing software to better manage this.

The General Store ought to be done in the next 3 hours.
I can't build anymore right now, out of energy, so whoever queues up building next, Tailor 6.

Duel targets could possibly be better coordinated. I agree, everybody should coordinate in chatzy before they start their run on the towns.

After (edit: Hotel 4), Tailor 6 as requested.
You know, as far as web game design goes, I find the West has a better approach with the "One character identity, group of characters work on a town building project" rather than the "No character identity, everyone builds a town for themselves." that is typical of Nile, Travian, and others.

Yup. Team games are infinitely more awesome. Plus people can specialize to help the town, which is always more interesting.

Earning money as a soldier is a little bit slow. So many points sunk into aim and dodge which are both useless for increasing the money earned while working. And you're not going to make money out of duelling assuming your opponent is using the bank properly (and a duellist is better at picking fights anyway). The adventurer benefits really are useful for feeding the huge amount of resources needed to level up a town, of course they have to balance offence and earning as well I assume. Nice that all the classes have a role. Almost missed the little button on the log-in screen indicating a new patch. Bonuses for wearing gear sets and some new (sex specific!) clothing sets. * Mexican * Pigrim (male) * Pilgrim (female) * Dancer (female) * Gentleman (male) * Farmer * Quaker * Indian

LOL, I had the same thought. My hotel sniping would be infinitely more awesome if I could actually duel worth a damn.

Not really. Duelists completely get shafted in their class bennies, IMO. They get no actual bonus to fighting, whereas the soldier, even when attacking, can use a weapon at +3 (+6 with RMT!) of their level. And let's not even talk about defense... Plus, duelists have, by consensus, the worst class quest out of the four available. There's really absolutely nothing that a dueler can do that a soldier can't do better and twice on Sunday. -Sutro

I dunno... gating factors on making a living by duelling seem to be travel times and duelling motivation. Duelists do get bonuses to both of those, although maybe not enough to make a difference.

Any smart player is banking their money. If you could see the money someone was carrying before dueling them, that would be the ultimate class ability. Dueler as spy? Visit a town, when in town, you can assess the going on's.

Which class is the ultimate duelist?
I started a trapper and a shooter on worlds 5 and 6 just to screw around with them and see how those two level, but I have no idea what to make them - adventurers or soldiers.

I more meant a duellist is better at trying to earn their xp and income through fighting. That's what the motivation and cash bonus seem to be about. Since this game gives the attacker a lot of freedom in picking the time and target a duellist who is totally specialised in combat should be able to find enough targets they have a significant advantage over.
I can see people respeccing (expensive as it is) into more combat oriented builds later in the game (and once you've built up your town) regardless of class. Though you'd really hope you get a good "roll" on the items at the last level of shops.

My policy has been to be completely friendly and cheerful when I do communicate with them. I figure it (A) gives them nothing to report me for and (B) infuriates them by showing them that they're not having any sort of negative impact on me.

The level 5 stuff is deceptively good. That's the best trading with indians neckpiece short of ~3k gold stuff; the other helps out our builders with their weakest point, aim.
Most of the rares IMO are overpriced for what you get. Much cheaper to buy separate pieces since it's pretty unusual to have that much synergy to make it pay off. There are exceptions, and they hurt, but it's true overall.
Plus, most of the rares have +stat modifiers which the game greatly overprices relative to their benefit. It's only really rarely that they're +3 or +4 to your job, more often they're +2 at best.
