Which two mods and what exactly did they do? Also, links, if possible.

I'd like to give it another whirl once I buy my new gaming rig, and can run it nicely.

This is the main game mod I recomend: http://devnull.devakm.googlepages.com/ooo
Warning: its 400 MBs

The only thing I don't care for about it is that it slows down leveling a bit too much, but there are plenty of available mods to reset that as well. Pretty much all Oblivion mods get announced here: http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showforum=25

Ugh, was a while ago. I dont remember the names now. I got them both from the Oblivion Mod Wiki.

The linked mod in the above post is also VERY good, has tons and tons and tons of really good changes. I think that should have both the changes you want. I think there is actually a setting in OOO to choose how fast you level.

I don't know what's in OOO, but if you are going to do any murdering I would suggest the "no psychic guards" mod.  It's just not fun when I kill someone in his upstairs bedroom and a guard from over 100 yards away outside comes charging across town to nab me.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

Anyone know how to edit your character AFTER you've made them? I'm having trouble with one of the mods I have, but I don't want to uninstall it cause the textures are just so damn beautiful.

You can do it using console commands if you want. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Console

Warning. Take screenshots of your stats and skills or write them all down if you use any of the class/face/race editor functions as it resets your character to L1 again. I've never seen a save game editor for the elder scrolls games, most people just use the console I think.

Usually its just a case of load order. Generally, have OOO load first, and then your additional plugins. You may want to look in to Oblivion mod Manager for rearranging load order, and for updating your Archive Invalidation files. Sorry, don't havea link handy, but it should be easy to find.

Changing a character's look after starting:
~ for console
ShowRaceMenu > Make your changes > Do NOT hit Ok on the race menu > with the Race menu still up, do a save, and then load that save. Otherwise, it will reset your skills.
