So it seems that Strom Thurmond's ancestors used to own Al Sharpton's ancestors.

I fully expect the vast majority of late night talk show hosts to include this in their monologues tomorrow.  I then expect at least one apology the next day.

I traded in my fun blog for several legal blogs. Or, "blawgs," as the cutesy attorney blawgosphere likes to call 'em.

Irrelevant in any real way to any thing at all and yet highly amusing at the same time.  Good work.

Shit, where's Trent Lott when you need him? I'm sure he can speak at the honorary dinner whereby Sharpton is given 40 acres and a mule from Thurmond's estate.

You know, if this was a movie people would be bitching that not every character has to be connected to each other.

Still, it is funny. And the pics I've seen of Sharpton make him look nauseated upon hearing the news. My only wish is that ole Strom was still alive when he heard the news, he'd have probably dropped dead when Al Sharpton rang the doorbell and asked for reparations.

It appears Sharpton is asking for a DNA test.  Really, that would be an answer I wouldn't want to know.  I'm happy enough to let my sleeping ancestors lie.
