SunSword aka Anthony Castoro has left his position at Codemasters, and formed another Dev studio in Austin, called Heatwave Interactive.

More info at his blog http://www.sunsword.com/mt_archives/000341.html.

Hate to say this, but according to his words:

Quote
Director, Massively Multiplayer Online Games
Codemasters

(Privately Held; 201-500 employees; Computer Software industry)

December 2005 — January 2007 (1 year 2 months)

As Director, I am responsible for the overall Production of Codemaster's MMO projects.

Responsibilities include:

- P&L creation/management
- Production team managment
- Project planning & production process
- Acquisitions and deal negotiations
- Internal game pitches and evaluations
- Day-to-day operations of the MMOG teams

this is the guy behind the "acquisition" of RF Online and Archlord.
So when he says:

Quote from: Sunsword
Last Friday was my last day at Codemasters. I've started a new company called "Heatwave Interactive, Inc.", as a vehicle to bring great games to the masses and "right" some of the "wrongs" in the games business.

... I have to admit I can't wait to hear about this whole wrongs and rights thing.

he also pissed off some colleagues not long ago wondering aloud on his blog about other professional's career promotion through personal blogging.  To which, there was a collective duh in response.  I love how people who blog infrequently get so worked up about why they have no readers, and then start kicking others.  Teh Ironee.  Who knows about this new shop.  Professionals going out to make another DIKU is sort of a cottage industry these days.

He is the guy if you want your mmorpg run into the ground with botched expansions and broken promises. Its hard task if he has to work on RF online.

Eternity is a very long time, especially towards the end.
