You'd be shocked how many people in my office don't think about googling things before asking me.

I've decided to give my current job more chances because I get such a discount on ink cartridges and WDW tickets, plus I might end up at an office full of cunts as well.

The good kind? Either type would be bad news for me. I'm still looking around but I'm exercising due caution. There's a posting at Deloitte that I'm not qualified for that I'm thinking of calling about anyway.

I really wish I could move. Georgia is like that stupid M. Might movie at this time of year, where the plant life tries to choke everyone. My son has had a cough for like two months.

I'm a big fan of the perpetual highway construction, myself, but I'd have to rank the air quality as my leading complaint.

Atlanta. I don't have the large amount of experience the posting calls for but it looks like fun, I'm a fast learner and I'm good-looking. So put in a good word if you can.

Not specified but appears in-house. I'm not very interested in consulting, I'm accustomed to the finer things of corporate stoogery.

Perhaps I would. Perhaps I'd be equally shocked at the amount of times other people ask your advice because you're an experienced person in the company who ranks them and actually has useful advice and understand of the specific issues that affect the client to impart. Perhaps I'd be shocked at the utter fucking ignorance and lack of client care or service you show by not even remembering how the fuck you dealt with that very specific issue pertaining to the client. Perhaps I'd be equally astounded at you sending the 'junior' in this situation into a phone call with the client, armed with no knowledge except the sure understanding that the previous encumbent had UTTERLY FUCKED UP THE CLIENT CARE AND SHE WAS GOING TO BE UNDERSTANDABLY GASHINGLY ANGRY. Or possibly you work in a different place from me.

...I didn't know my company had an office where Ironwood's at...? In other news, brewday for the first time in forever. Repaired the lauter tun, bottling the honey&cranberry ale, making a weizenbock with a decoction, and finally starting up the second batch of either an avocado or cactus mead if I'm still standing at the end.

I vote for the cactus, if my say has any pull (and you get this in time).

My last boss did this to me when I'd been on the job less than a month with a supplier who hated our guts. I was less than thrilled about it, but it did bring a realization that I had a very delicate situation to work with to smooth over our relations in the next 5 years, which I did pretty well they told me after I got canned (they said that I was the only reason they still continued to do business with our company). Some bosses are just... well I don't know how to describe it other than "detached from reality" or "clueless" at times...

They aren't detatched, they are gutless cowards. There's more of that in management than you can shake a stick at.
It's the good leaders who are confrontational, proactive, responsible, and centered.

$^!#$^#$^ING Cowards
I moved to NM ~2 years ago for work. This is the third time since coming to NM that I have had my tires slashed. Always in the sidewall so the tires have to be replaced. I drive a 1993 toyota previa all wheel drive, with kayak racks up top, built in bed in back, nearly 280,000 miles on it. Not exactly an obnoxious car, and you are NOT sticking it to the man when you slash my tires.
Such a cowardly cowardly thing to do.
