I can find Mexican Coke no problem but I am having a hell of a time finding Pepsi Throwback!

Does the Throwback come in packs?  My only problem with Mexican Coke is it's all single bottles around here.  I'll switch to Pepsi if I can get real sugar easily.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

Ugh, I've spent the last 8 or 9 hours with a nasty stomach cramp and have had to dash for the toilet to be sick 4 or 5 times. Since I'm meant to be sleeping and/or finishing off a project for Wednesday this is not a great time. Haven't been sick properly in years so this is all an unpleasant reminder of what it's like. Obviously eaten something bad but not sure what it is, I've clearly not been drinking enough to keep my system sterilised recently awesome, for real

Ah farming.  I'm giving my wife advice but not planning on doing any of it.  Probably exactly what Gaius Baltar was thinking about Caprica Six.  Anyway, why would you want a hoe with a 12" handle?  As for weeds, if you get your potato plants lined up right then you can just plow the weeds out from between and forget about the ones on the ridge.  Assuming you have a plow, of course, otherwise you'll be using a hoe.

As in so many walks of life, Dutch hoes are the best.  So long as you keep them sharp the effort required in their use tends towards zero.

Ugh, I could use one... Been digging 4'x3' holes all over my back yard for the past few days in preparation for trees.

You really shouldn't be planting trees this time of year, especially not big ones - it's gonna take a LOT of water to keep them alive all summer. Best time to plant is October, during the rainy season but before hard frost.

Most city dwellers do their weeding on their knees. It's better on the back, and you do a better job getting the weeds. And before you say some snark about knee pain, they make nice pads for that.

Yes, there'll be much less snark directed at knee pads than knee pain.   awesome, for real

Nah, city-dweller explains a lot.  My wife is only going to use a raised planter, not start a real farm, so she's going to use some sort of hand implement.  Endie, though, I'd say he would get it done faster with something larger.  It's more about the bending over or crawling along as opposed to the walk along, not that hoeing weeds is tough.  Tedious... can be.

I thought after last frost but before the buds blossom was the other kosher time?

Either way, late now.

I can't wait to get to planting trees, I want to get at least a couple in the ground this year so I can see them get to a decent size before I die and whatnot. I want a nice screen of big spruce to lend some privacy to my front and side yards, then some sprinkled around the yard itself (I have a double city lot, extra deep, few trees right now). I was thinking a loose-needled pine for one of my 'ornamentals', but want something with manageable cones. Same kinda thing with a flowering tree, something that's not going to drop too much fruit, so clean-up is manageable.

I was thinking cedar but the deer killed about a half dozen in a neighbor's yard. I'm so obsessive about every damned decision around my house.

I work for a small distribution company.  I rep a large corporation through them. (Sales)

Economy is in the shitter (obviously).
Higher ups are getting breathed on.
Pressure on my boss and pressure on me.

My industry is slowly dieing in New Jersey (Manufacturing etc).
Everyone has no money.  Everyone is getting laid off so everyone else is doing multiple jobs.
I can't get appointments to see people because of this since everyone is so busy.
Cold calling never worked to begin with in the first place.

Fuck.  I'm fucked.

I've literally been reduced to become a fucking telemarketer and a door to door salesmen.  Fuck.

I have a list of random people from random companies and I've just been hung up on three times in a row.  Fucking shit I hate my life.

Depends on your region, too.  I know in California the dry season is starting; sounds like Oregon is the same.  In Florida the rainy season is just starting so now is an excellent time to plant trees.  You don't want to wait until August or later because of the risk of tropical storms.

I'm making a mask tonight.  Good idea.

Been there, done that.

Well I've been reduced from working on projects that are coming in and handling current customer base to now scrounging for "visits" that seem to justify my jobs.  Since the money isn't coming in due to the economy (every territory is shitting the bed, not just mine) my worth is measured by how many people I annoy in person per day and week.

Such is life.

This just makes me angry people like Paul Barnett are happily fucking around working on the latest fucking Ultima Online expansion.  FUCK YOU.

It's fantastic.

Every single item i know by memory is 15-20% more expensive in Safeway compared to Albertsons. They are directly across the street from each other. How the fuck can they compete? Yep, and it varies according to the species, too.  I've planted three trees in my orchard so far this year: the pear tree went in in late February, with plenty of frosts and snow still ahead.  The fig tree went in in early april.  And I planted the almond tree a couple of weeks ago.

Bad news, but are those two things connected or did you get the news half way through ranting about Safeway?

Blasphemer, peanut butter is possibly one of the greatest food products ever created.  The only justifiable reason for not liking it is a severe allergy imo.
