I didn't see any Illuminati stuff in it.  I liked the Egyptian stuff in odd places like her hair and that blokes sunglasses.  Not a fan of the music, though.  Still, have to ask, is she singing "Play with my dick"?  I had it set pretty low and wasn't willing to turn up the volume to listen harder.

Thank you, Abagadro.

I didn't see any Illuminati stuff in it.

Neither do I. It's not a good music video in any sense, but not offensive either.

Well, my review went better than I thought. I've got some stuff to work on, but I find it hilarious (in a strange way) that the thing they were most eager for me to change boils down to "Habits your were forced to adopt by your previous job".

I wish someone had said something, you know, earlier. Oh well, a few habits to break when it comes to doing weekly reports and feedback and the like (all communication stuff, not like...work output or technical skills).

Fixed that for you. Other than a false view of their own maturity, I find that people get vastly more despicable as they age.

I thought Bloodworth was the big Gwar fan.  I didn't realize those guys are 50.. I was like, "they're not much older than me.. .aw shit I'm old."

Husband confirmed that we are both old last night.  He ran out to pick us up some food and while going through the drive-thru, left the radio on to listen to the song playing.  Gets to the window and the girl there said 'Hey, that's a pretty catchy song.  Is it new?"  Which lead him to reply "Nope, song is probably older than you are."  Song = Safety Dance.  This resulted in me decided that yes, it is time to start coloring my hair again.

Red with orange bits at the end, I hope!  Yes, whenever I hear of someone in their 40s, 50s or 60s dying I think "Geez.  They were younger than me" or "That's how old I am!" or "They're not that much older than me!".   None of it's a good feeling.  So I've given up and decided that from about 45 on everyone is almost dead.  I was a GWAR fan, not as much as Mr. B though.  I miss Mr. B.  He made me smile.

I don't know.  I went away from f13 for a while and when I came back he was gone.  As bad as this looks, whatever happened to him, I didn't do it.  I would have remembered.

I was probably nearly as big a GWAR fan as Mr B 15 years ago. I stopped following them in about 2004 though.

Sad to hear that he died, their music was pretty much the soundtrack to my early teenage years.

I have this friend that I've known all my life.  She's very bi-polar but she functions okay mostly.  She used to be a concert cellist but now she teaches.  She better with one on one teaching and can't stand being in large crowds anymore, which is why she stopped playing concerts.  She comes from a really talented mostly mentally fucked up family so she has lifelong experience of being whacky.  Anyway, a few months ago she went to her car dealership because her car was acting a bit funny and making odd noises now and then.  There was also a minor recall she had to attend.  The car salesman somehow sold her a new car, even though she was obviously intimidated by him and was acting strange.  She put it like this, "I went to get my recall fixed and came home owning a car I didn't want".  When she got home she was hysterical and her daughter made her go back to the dealership and get her old car back.  The guy wouldn't take it back and but he got her to trade in the new car which was a 2013 for a 2014 car.  This is so fucked up.  She was so embarrassed that she didn't tell anyone for three months and I only found out Sunday night.  Her demeanor is really awkward.  She's very depressed and completely unfocused.  She came over on Sunday and wanted to watch Once Upon a Time and couldn't follow even the most feeble of plots.   It's really has me angry and upset but three months down the road, is there anything at all to be done?   I want to hurt that man SO much!

Contact her local TV station that does investigative reports. That kind of bad publicity would seriously affect the dealership's bottom line which is probably all they care about.

I'll ask her about the tv station but I'm not sure she'll want that, especially if they'll want to know about her.  It's not too late for a lawyer?  I thought since three months have passed it would be expensive and possibly pointless.  Her family has crazy money but I'm pretty sure they won't want to part with it.  Her mother bought a house for her and her daughters to live in and they're actively trying to convince mom to sell it and split the money with them.  They're pretty mean.  A lawyer would be good, though, and maybe she can get a legal aid one because of her disability and financial state?  I wonder if they even take cases like this.  Of course, I wouldn't try and talk her into anything she's afraid of but I could suggest things to her and see if she's comfortable with them.

I'd think if someone was able to talk her into buying not one, but two cars she didn't want then she's not going to be comfortable with any solutions.  She kept it quiet out of fear someone would force her to deal with it, she's certainly not going to the news of her own volition.  If she's awkward the news won't pick it up because she won't play well on the camera. I don't see any winning approach here.

At that point it becomes a matter of whether sorting it out is better for her than letting it go.

There's too many random... emotions... involved to say what is 'best' without knowing her personally.

(The internet-logic thing is to make that dealership pay, get the lawyer and call the TV station, and use the money to get her to a psychiatrist to get some anti-anxiety meds...)

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

Unless she's legally incapable of entering into contracts and agreements I doubt there's much that can be done. The car dealer took advantage of her weakness and is a huge dick (car salesman in being a worthless cockweasel shocker) but she entered into the contract herself. Unless she can prove that the dealership misrepresented the contract I doubt she can get out of it and, as others have said, if she's that averse to confrontation then the emotional hit might be worse than the financial one.

She has a shrink and sees him when things get too much out of control.  It's generally me or my sister or the one brother who still speaks to her who tells her to call the shrink before she has a meltdown.  She's not legally incapacitated even though she's emotionally inept at making important decisions and warding off leeches and manipulators.  She almost never makes a decision herself and relies too much on her daughters in that respect.  It just makes me so mad.  She's physically drop dead gorgeous and this has turned her into a totally mess.  She doesn't even look like herself.  It's amazing what stress and anxiety can mess up how people look.  I just want to pinch that man to death.  It'll just get worse, too, as she finds herself in a financial mess down the road.  Her income is totally dependent on how many students she has and summer is the time when students drop out for vacations and stuff.  Even the professional cellists she teaches take off time in the summer, or go on tour.  There's never a month that she doesn't end up having to get money from her mother.

We dealt with a similar issue with my grandmother.  She's almost 85 and used to own her house, completely paid off when my grandfather died 30 years ago.  At some point in the last 10 years her pension and SS no longer made ends meet.  Instead of asking for help from us, she kept putting food and necessities on a credit card.  When she hit $50,000 in cc bills, she took out a home equity line of credit to pay them off.  However, she started the whole process over and racked up another $50k on top of the line of credit.

It wasn't until the $100k in debt point that she told anyone what happened. It's of questionable ethics that someone gave her $50k in credit card limits.  It's even more questionable that her bank let an 80+ year old woman leverage her house to pay that debt, especially when they could see that she wasn't going to make ends meet.

At the end of the day, she (and ultimately our family) is responsible for it all.  Regardless of whether someone should have given the loans to her or not.

Yeah, I agree with that Sky, for the most part.  But this is different.  She's always been in my family.  I spent years growing up at her house.  I totally adore her and this whole thing has me so upset.  She's my sister in every thing but blood.  She's older but that never mattered at all.  We practically lived at each others houses growing up.   She can be destructive off her meds, but she's hasn't gone off them for years and years.  So, to me, she is basically family.  Other than us, all she has is her mom who's only nice sometimes and has a terrible temper and one brother who HAS to be nice to her because she gave him bone marrow.  All the others won't acknowledge her or, mostly, each other.  You wouldn't believe this family.  I could tell outrageous stories but I don't want to piss anyone off or kill anyone's uncle.

Not allowing her to have the loans would have been age discrimination. That's the other side of it. It's a huge problem for society, particularly with the boomer bubble coming up.

One of my coworkers sold her house and was closing on a new house the following day. Got a call from the settlement attorneys. The seller's didn't own it. Upside down reverse mortgage the late owner never told her kids about.
