To be honest with you, the big reason I wanted to give it a go is the massive waste that goes with disposable razors, not to mention the cost. I can't use electric razors, either, as they make me break out like crazy. I think I was getting the hang of it towards the end, but it's definitely not something you want to do with a 3 year old in the room with you. Go with the safety razor. If you buy in bulk you can get blades for 20-40 cents a piece and they are 100% recyclable as they are just steel. Heck, if you want I will send you a starter razor and some blades to try it out.

I may take you up on that if the straight razor doesn't work out. If I'm still with the living, that is.

I hear all these horror stories of razors and it just makes me glad I don't have to shave.

Takes a few shaves to get it figured out (your technique and your skin). I haven't bought shaving supplies in over a year the razor and shaving soap last forever.

Ghost I bought a safety razor and I really like it. While it takes a bit longer to shave with it than with a disposable razor it does a FAR better job. I have shaved with everything except a straight razor. I watched a couple videos about shaving with the straight razor and it looked like far to much work with way to much risk. I broke down and bought a pretty nice German Safety razor after I shaved with them for a bit. Also be aware that there are some pretty serious extremes on the quality of blades. Generally German / Japanese make the best. And try to buy them online if you can. The blades are far cheaper to buy in bulk than to buy at the local store.

Goddamnit, Google, I don't want your fucking browser and I shouldn't have to pay that close attention to see what's checked when I'm just trying to update my video drivers.
When I uninstall don't ask me if I want your fucking toolbar, either, assclowns. grr.

Didn't even spend this much time on Skyrim, I think my priorities need working on.
With the extra details you've provided, and the addition that you've already done your due diligence about confronting her micromanagement (which was basically ignored in short order), I can tell you this lady is, with all likelihood to use Ironwood's term, a cunt. The people that are that job protectionist and that abrasive will run off anyone of talent before they are eventually exposed as small-minded and petty. By that time, they will have damaged your company to the point that it can never turn back the clock (if you allow it). One of the hardest things for a hirer to do, as I've seen in many companies, is to admit that their hire was a complete fuckup. Mostly, they think it reflects poorly on them. The actuality is that allowing the bad hire to run amok digs the hole even deeper, rather than quickly correcting the action. In accounting, we call it a sunk cost. Too many people let prior fuckups cause even more fuckups because they are unwilling to cut their losses. It's the gambler who tries to go double or nothing, or the general who keeps throwing men into a losing battle. Especially since your company is in growth mode, it's imperative that you remove this woman before it's too late and she runs off the people that make or break your business.

That lady sounds like a micromanaging nightmare. Anybody who will take in the other people in the team and confront you with "See! these people have no complaints about me!" right in front of those people is a horrible, horrible manager. That act alone says everything you need to know about her. If running to daddy is the only way to get rid of her quickly, then you should get running. Don't worry about being the whiney asshole...sounds like everyone in the organization is going to thank you for it.
Also! Don't have to apologize to us for unleashing your burdens here. In fact, you should create a separate thread and post daily/hourly highlights. You fucking know how we love this stuff.

You should check her lawn out. And by lawn I mean the grass in front of her house. And check for mold.

Ah the house. That's another issue entirely, and actually when I'm home today or tomorrow I might put a thread together. On the one hand a lot of the stuff seems petty but having had a bit of time to reflect on it and no longer feeling like maybe it's me, some of the shit she's done is just... bad. Stupid bad.

I just want to take a moment to grouse at Yegolev for leaving Coca-Cola with such a weird e-mailing address system.
3 contacts.. all with totally different formats. <3 letters><lastname> <1st letter><lastname> <firstname>.<lastname>
Makes remembering which one of my contacts has the wrong info on my distribution list a bitch.
Try my F13 handle at gmail, yahoo, and hp.com if you like. You are close-but-no-cigar on two of the above anyway.

Those are the structures of the 3 contacts I have to send info about new starts to. I have their full name and e-mail and that's what it comes out to when I compare both. All 3 went through with that method, but Mr. 1st-letter-last name was in the info given to me by SNS as 3-letters-last name. I finally remembered to mark it up but had to go back to previous correspondence to remember what it was supposed to be.

She wants me to run everything by her and wants me to do everything the way she wants (so I now need to text her to let he know any time anyone is sick or arranges time off) so that she feels in control.
Page back, sorry, I just thought the texts when somebody arranges time off was very interesting. Either you have the authority to book leave for people or you don't, providing it's correctly tracked, the only reason she'd need a text would be to consider overruling you each time. In which case they shouldn't be asking you in the first place, very odd, Ironwood is probably right, but sometimes people back down if you say something like "there's no way I'm going to do that".

NowhereMan, I love you but TEE ELL DEE ARR Actually on consideration that thread on crazy lady would probably be more than really entertaining. THe house thing was a reference to the fact that she's moved cities in order to work with us (she had been looking to move away from where she was anyway so hadn't seen that as a problem) and has recently found somewhere 'suitable'. She had started looking back in November and has taken time off and generally had it as an issue since then. Having finally found somewhere at the beginning of last week I thought that at least was settled. Cue her now getting stressed and taking time off to go furniture shopping as the place she got is unfurnished and she needs to be settled as she just can't properly work until then, including taking one employee off for an afternoon to drive her to Ikea as she doesn't have a car. On further talking to people as generally as possible, there's about two other people who are keen, bright and want to help improve things that are the two, aside from myself, who really have issues with her. Everyone that's happy to come in and do the job is getting on with her ok but just don't like the atmosphere much anymore. Talking to the 'higher ups' it's now very much a case of when we get rid of her rather than if. Certainly before she manages to fuck off anyone else that works here. The texting her thing is basically down to her needing to be in control and just not understanding Google calender (Jesus I had to read her type that, seriously her written English is less than great). At points it's just sad but frankly any sympathy I might have got burned up a long time ago.

This is what I'm talking about. Mustache bill goes to congress. The surprising thing is not that a congressman—Rep. Bartlett, a Republican—would support the creation of another tax loophole. “The Stache Act (Stimulus to Allow for Critical Hair Expenses) aims to earn a well-deserved $250 annual tax deduction for every Mustached American for expenditures on mustache grooming supplies,” the website reads. I refuse to put this in politics.
