The hard part will be finding a therapist that isn't complete bullshit. Don't be afraid to bounce around until you find someone that you agree with. Also, if possible, pay yourself since insurance companies will limit treatment options.
100% agree here. I had to go through 4 therapists to finally get one that actually understood me and was willing to work with me and not shame me. And having to deal with 5 different doctors and something like 7 different drugs that did nothing but make me super tired or super angry was a waste of time. Finally found my regimen and I stick with it and other than some sadness every 4-5 weeks for a few days things are great. Sure beats the way I was living before... or not living.

I don't know how you get through therapist school and tell people "Just stop it".
Niacin could be good also, haven't tried it.

Actually the F13 FB adventure is the best thing to happen there in a long time. What else has been happening is that a FB group was created in which some of us are mocking a friend. Spending this much time on FB has reminded me why it makes me ill, and that has everything to do with all of the other people on there. Not the two groups I mentioned. It's a swamp of idiots that has a harvester-bot hovering overhead, skimming bits of value from them as they flop around in their own mental filth completely unaware of how awful they are and will always be.

This has been by far the hardest part. So far, tried 4 different therapists and am having very limited success. Luckily my work benefits are pretty great and covered almost anything that I might need, just have to find the right fit. The last one was extremely frustrating. Try Niacin before you start taking prescribed drugs. Seriously.
Been doing some reading today on this and I think I will give it a try.

Being as he is in the legal profession, the potential scale of fuckup is probably wider than average.
And surely there will be a follow up post. You can't just drop a nugget like that and just leave us hanging.

Legal profession and local government. If the press in SLC is anything like around here, details of his mistake will end up in the paper soon enough. Nothing sells papers like "exposing" the fact that government employees make mistakes. Hope your screwup can be remedied without a trip down unemployment way, Ab.

The last time he mentioned his job was when he was negotiating contracts with (I think) the Firefighter's union. Pretty sure no needles and frantic calls were involved, he's one of those boring lawyers. Probably something more expensive.

Well fuck. I just got told they're doing some rearranging in the office space and I'm losing my current cube. I rather like where I've been sitting and it sounds like I'm going to be dropped into the middle of the project teams, which will suck. Oh yeah, it's it's going to happen by the end of the month.

I was moved 5 times in about 18 months at one point. I was exceptionally pissy about it by the end. I think they are afraid to do it again just because they don't want to hear me bitch.

In the recent client office restack, I lost my desk. Good riddance! I have never had a desk with my current paycheck-writer.

HP still big on work-from-home for employees? I never minded that at first, but it sucked after a while. It's not just me, at least. They are moving a whole bunch of people around and in a few cases, splitting up some teams into different buildings (and not next door ones, either). It's going to be interesting trying to have a 1-on-1 with someone in my cube and discuss project finances in the middle of cubeville, but I guess I gots no choice.

It's an MBA. I thought you got one of those with 6 Wheaties box tops. Mocking the school is optional.

I went with a different avenue for "sick burn" and used some statistics. He's a tea party repub, so, I'm sure this tactic will meet an interesting and illogical response. Maybe something along the lines of "our campus is nicer" (it isn't).

My screw up was not earth shattering and just means something gets delayed from happening for a while (which isn't a huge deal in the grand scheme of things as it is just some paperwork catching up with something already built). But it is more that it was fairly visible to some people high up in the organization, its something I have been working on for a year and now will have to work on it for another year when I thought it was done, and I am very self critical. I'm off the ledge for now.

I sympathize. My first "oops" bug in my new job was of the "Oh, yeah, let's emergency patch this and let EVERYONE know they need new installers and HOW THE FUCK DID THIS SLIP THROUGH TESTING".
Data loss bugs are the worst. Thank God I found it before anyone actually triggered it, and it wasn't hard to trigger. (Just in an obscure rarely used module).
