How about a new Police Academy?

That sound you just heard was one million heads exploding.

The good news is that much of the original cast is ready to sign on! I am surprised that they were available; they must be extremely busy opening shopping malls and selling shit on late night info-mercials.

If there were to film a 're-telling' of the first movie with some new jokes, a ton of full frontal nudity, and no sign whatsoever of Steve Guttenberg, it might be worth watching on premium cable. An 8th retarded movie with the same cast (didn't the guy who played Tackleberry die a few years back? Probably a good career move for him) is just a horrible idea.

Winslow hasn't had a job since his cameo in spaceballs.

The really bad AC2 Darktide guild by the same name that I managed spent weeks killing, so much so on one occasion I fully expected a "killing spree" sound bite to kick in?

If so, bastards.

"It's is very unusual to have seven films with virtually all the same major cast."

Except when all the major cast members have their careers ruined by appearing the same one-joke movies until the buying public pukes at the sight of them.

Yeah, what history! You remember that time the Sarge and his flunky got tricked into going to the Blue Note gay bar? And remember that time the Sarge got tricked into getting beat up by the major villain? And you remember that time the black guy made those funny noises into the bullhorn?

Yeah, me neither.

He did in a bunch of cheapass german TV movies. At least I spotted him in a bunch. Yes I get german TV channels over here. And yes, I watch braindead TV content when I can't sleep at night.

Hmm, I wonder what that blonde with the big tits looks like nowadays. I didn't know Tackleberry was dead either. I'd be surprised if Captain Lasard isn't too. Winslow was only funny when I was a kid, and Bobcat is just plain ole' "Bob" now.

I do know what the Sarge has been up to (I think it was "Captain" Harris actually) -- I've met him. He's the Acting teacher at Southwest Texas State University. I feel bad for saying this, but that's just really sad (for the students, that is).

I recall there being two Sarge's though -- the other being Mauser. And that flunky wasn't just any "flunky" -- He's "Proctorrrr!".

With a 60 year old jackie chan and a 100 year old Burt Reynolds?

On second thought, that would be an interesting movie.

Kind of like Bubba Ho-Tep with cars.  And no zombie unless you count Burt.

Nono, I meant a REMAKE.  With an entirely new cast, ala Ocean's Eleven.  (Although I don't think the remake of Ocean's Eleven was all that great, it was apparrently good enough to spawn a sequel.)
