Didn't see it posted, it's fairly long and includes screenshots.

The caption for this says real time screenshot?  I'll believe it when I see it.

Why did I think Huxley was that game that looked like Wind Waker?  I feel cheated now, I could have been harboring a secret love of this game.

Why am I homeless?  Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question.

HI, JOYSTIQ IS MISSING A COUPLE.

When are websites going to learn to cover what they know.

Yes, I'm stroking my... ego.

Yes, her facial features look a little too smooth to have been rendered "on-the-fly". On the other hand, they are using the Unreal Engine 3 so it's not outside the realm of possibility.

Whenever an opponent discards a card, Megrim deals 2 damage to that player.

So they put armour, and even little bitty spikes on the fingers, but leave the massive tracts of land undefended. Sigh.

I have to say, though, it's the best real-time hayfever simulation I've ever seen.

Didn't you mean to include a link to your own list?

Why would I make a list of MMORPGs? I don't make lists about a bunch of games that are probably going to suck. MMORPG.com already has a permanent list with dev status anyway. Joystiq is just fishing for page views. Not. Real. Content.

Here's another newly announced MMOG to add to the list: Fury

This is being developed by an Australian company Auran (Warning! Site may crash your Opera browser). The game claims to be some sort of MMORPG/FPS hybrid:

Quote
Fury is the ultimate competitive online RPG. It takes the best elements of an MMO - combat, advancement and teamwork - and blends them with the best elements of an FPS - instant action, fast pacing and diverse game types.

The dynamic gameplay cycle lets you fight, earn rewards, and use those rewards to customize your character as much as you want.

Get ready to unleash the Fury!

Quote
What the Dev Team are saying about Fury:

"Fury is pure PvP - think WoW Battlegrounds and Guild Wars on steroids mixed with some Unreal Tournament and Battlefield 2. You get right into the action without having to grind and most importantly, your skill and knowledge are the greatest influence on how well you do, not just the color of your gear. – Adam Carpenter, Lead Designer

"Not only is Fury a game about combat, it’s a min-maxers dream, with the strongest and most flexible character development system ever. Rather than fighting, many people will spend more time perfecting their avatar’s incarnations in order to gain the ultimate edge in battle. – Paul Whipp, Producer

The site claims (in big bold letters and in a separate box) No grinding, no waiting, no wimps! and no ganking:

No grinding - Mmm could be nice
No waiting - waiting what? No downtime? well, appreciated.
No wimps! - uh?! No seriously...
No ganking - Count me out. I have plenty of single player offline RPGs to enjoy a no ganking environment. If you want my fantasy-mmorpg money, I need a pre-Trammel like world. Why is everyone so proud about gank-less game? Wasn't that issue addressed circa 1999? I can't see so many gank-full game around.

Plus, they are running a little poll, about what do you like to spend your time with when playing. Here are the choices:

- Exploring
- Killing
- Crafting
- Achieving
- Winning   <--------- !!!

I fell off my chair :)
For the records, "Exploring" is in the lead with 35%, while "Winning" is in the last spot with only 10%.

oh, by the way.
Is achieving so different from winning, in MMORPGs?

Achieving can be an on-going process where you build your character bit by bit.  Winning means you are THE top dog, there is nothing left to achieve.  Or something.

I am firmly in the don't care (ie, loser that can't compete) bracket, so I don't really understand the nuances more than that.

Hahahaha!  I'm really good at this!

Me achieving something doesn't mean someone else has to lose.
