I made myself some new wallpaper out of the chibi little Mega Man characters that were redesigned for the remake of Mega Man on the PSP. I offer it to you here, unstained by the blood of the innocents (a one time only offer). Oh, and it is, btw, only for widescreen monitors that run at 1680x1050. It's not for you, Sky.

I loved Mega Man and I KNOW he loved me back.  That wallpaper is very nearly as silly as your affinity for pink Japanese pre-teen gurlie toys!

It's true.

This is a set of windup Sushi from Japan. It is awesome. It has NOTHING to do with pre-teens or gurlie things. Gurlie isn't even a word. And it's not just japanese. I love most minimalist European furniture and the cell phone systems in place in South Korea amaze me. I like the bread stores in France. I like the street vendors in Italy. But this is the internet and this is a gaming website. There are two places where 99% of the topical things for this industry come from, Japan and America. It's not my fault Japan is fucking insane and I'm amused by it.

Sure. What does that have to do with my utter dislike of anime flavoring japanimation?

Yes, I thought it'd be funny to screw up deep-seated since I was complaining about "its", "it's", "your", "you're".

You know, it was funnier before I explained it. Nevermind.

I got games: X-Men Legends 1, ESPN NHL 2k6 and Jade Empire for the X-Box and X-Men Legends for the N-Gage. Yes, the N-Gage. It looks not too bad.

Poptart was given a GameBoy Advance SP with Super Mario Advance 3, Pac-Man Collection, and Super Mario Kart Advance, and a WebCam.

Strangely, I got scarves, too.  I can't remember the last time I got one, maybe 15 years ago or so?  And this Christmas I got two.  One from my sister, and one from Righ's sister who, every year, sends us something from Scotland, even though she lives in Houston now.  Her scarf had matching mittens.  I've never got the hang of mittens... maybe because I used to smoke and I need my middle finger to drive.

Sauced gave me the DVD boxset of Life of Mammals (I  Heart David Attenborough), a DS!!! and Animal Crossing and Castlevania Dawn of Sorrows for it. And a new copy of Napoleon Dynamite since my other copy got loaned and lost. And don't make fun of me. I think it's a damn funny movie.

I gave him The Movies, God of War, Atelier Iris, a copy of THX-1138 (director's cut, and he'd never seen it), Castlevania (the NES original) and FFIV for the GBA, and five t-shirts from Threadless. It sounds like a lot, but I impulse-bought most of those things over the course of a coupla months and just stashed 'em away. That way I didn't hafta feel guilty about shopping.  smiley

Medical insurance went up for the next year, yet again. I love medical insurance. I've put in roughly $12k since I've been working here and pulled out $1.5k. It's also mandatory, I can't waive it unless I'm otherwise insured. Fucking insurance scam. I like when the AFLAC guy comes every year, I asked him if they have that policy that refunds my money if I don't use their insurance for the year. He just hands me the supplemental waiver.

New toy: Canon Powershot A520. Apparently my girl liked the pictures I took in Vermont with my mother's A80 (which I had bought her the previous xmas).

I just got AFLAC at work, and I can't imagine anyone waiving it, at least not when they start to get to my age. I'm starting to realize that some of that shit is probably going to hit me soon, so it'd be nice to get paid when I get cancer.

Or poke out an eye with a pair of fingernail clippers after tripping over a doggie toy.
