Well, I'm certainly enjoying the game, if I'm "losing" info on the screen, it's a complete non-issue. I just don't see the problem here. I mean, you can still look up and down as a heli gunner...you can still only shoot at the center of the screen ;)
And native res is WAY better than the interpolated pixelization of a non-native res, imo.
Note: I'm not denying what you say, I'm just saying that for me, I don't notice it a bit, until you mentioned it. As you say, it's a compromise, and I choose native res, because there is no downside for me, personally.
I'd like that FoV hack, though. It's actually just the HUD, though, so it's not a big deal, either, imo.

It seems the new version of BF2 server for both Linux and Windows has a massive memory leak. A bunch of message boards are noting that EA has gone back to release server code due to it. Can anyone with the game verify EA's servers reverted back to retail?

I think there is a leak or something in the retail version too- every time I have played, the servers get less stable late at night, with increasing lag.

Yes the EA servers are all back to 1.0 though they only switched some of them over to 1.01 on 7/6 (all of the West Coast servers were left at 1.0, for example). |
