Would love to hear what games released in the last 1.5 years that I should pick up once we know the deals.

This is actually the correct answer.

But to be more specific, Resident Evll or whatever at 50%+ off? I would buy that.

I'm looking at:

Rimworld (not expecting discount)
Quadrilateral Cowboy
Oxygen Not Included

Most of my gaming is on PS4 now.

I'm hoping for some discounts on HOI4 dlc (and some other Paradox stuff too) but otherwise I'm occupied with games I have until the eventual Autumn sale .

Ha yep. Was midway through my queue and it went tits up.

I am hoping for some deep discounts on EUIV DLC, because $200+ for the bundle is a bit daunting. Also Naval Action and Cold Waters for very cheap. And a pony.

RE7 is only 40% off. Fuckers.

Edit: And Armello isn't even on sale.

Edit 2: Armello is now on sale, things are updating slowly.

I saw that Besiege was on sale too right before the crash. Think I will pick both of those up (and probably never play them, as usual).

Not exactly an exciting sale judging from my wishlist. I could buy Cryptark maybe now that it's out of Early Access.

Sigh, only -10% on one of the HOI4 DLCs. I guess It's going to be a cheap summer sale for me.  Ohhhhh, I see.

Gonna grab Overcooked for the fam. Can't decide between XCOM or Witcher 3.

I think we need to wait a bit for the sales to take hold, I just saw some of my wishlist go back to normal price, while some that are on sale don't show as such until you click through to the game's store page. Clearly it's not updating correctly.

Yeah, I'm seeing that too. Overcooked was on sale for 50%, now it's gone.

Over the last few years, I've definitely gone from "oh shit, it's a sale, let's see what there is!" to just checking my wishlist and if it's 75% off I buy it.

Its rare to find €60 games dropping down to €5 like they did three years ago, also takes much longer for them to drop below €20. Ever since they made full price games cost €60 I mostly end up buying that stuff at gmg.

I will probably end up grabbing salt & sanctuary and Hollow knight for €10 each, I don't have a backlog and heard good stuff on both games.

Welp, Rocksmith DLC only ever gets about 40% off, so there's a few of those off the wishlist. I actually had some restraint and left a few on the wishlist, I was pretty tempted by Muse but I have a couple Muse packs already.

So I'm still playing Crusader Kings 2 but apparently there's a ton of dlcs I haven't gotten. Think there will be a 75-90% sale later on or is 50% off as good as it'll get?

53 Items on your wish-list are on sale... steam sale detection complete. Though they're mostly on the wish list so I remember they exist if I ever get through my backlog rather than imminent intent to buy.

I bought the blackguards franchise set for 8$ on a random sale recently, it's rules heavy and slow moving in a way I get the feeling German gamers don't mind,  but that's chewed up 40 hours of my time so far, and I'm still only on the first base game...  cost is just less of an issue than the amount of time and attention required to complete games.

Glanced at my wishlist, nothing I really need on sale enough. Buying a house has kind of fucked my gaming budget, but I have a giant backlog and still mostly play Minecraft or POE anyway so fuck it.

Ha. Of the three games I mentioned, only one is on sale, for only 15% off.

I declare Steam a dead thing.

I miss the excitement of flash sales and daily deals. Now I just check it once when it starts, once more when it ends and that's about it.

This.  I also miss all the little event type stuff, like the clicker game and the daily challenges that earned your team points.   It was all stupid little stuff but it made it more of a daily thing to login and check out what was going on.

Everyone should grab Bayonetta for $15.  I don't need another excuse to play it again, but I fully plan on it.

I was hoping a few games would be cheaper, like For Honor.  Also, No Man's Sky isn't $5 yet.

There's a lot I'd love to buy, but I'm cheap in my old age. Nearly my entire wishlist is on sale, minus some stuff that I really wanted cheaper (looking at you, Rimworld). Tyranny and Dishonored 2 are rather tempting.  I heard Dishonored 2 had massive PC issues, right? That's kind of holding me back.

I miss getting a AAA game for under $10. This new style Steam sale seems to have raised the floor on how low they're willing to go with some titles.

I'm mildly interested in Hitman (the newer one) and Ghost Recon (newest one) summat openworldy stuff. I think I may drop Dying Light off the list.

Keep wanting to add the revamped State of Decay, but the jank is pretty strong. Though still probably my 3rd favorite zombie game after 7 Days to Die and Project Zomboid.

But all four games are not at the impulse buy level previous sales used to steal my wallet.

Edit: I hear you on Rimworld and blame apoc

The removal of flash sales really killed the excitement of the Steam sale for me too. And I think the floor on prices is definitely higher than it used to be.

My problem is that there aren't many games on Steam that I'd be willing to buy unless they were on sale for ten dollars or less. I'm not really into the cheap indie stuff and there just haven't been that many high profile games made lately that I care about enough to buy. A few games on my wish list have come up but with savings of maybe 40 percent. Not good enough.

Witcher 3 is 40% off and the Hitman bundle is $24 and I still don't feel like getting either of them.

I might just be done with video games.
