That did actually look like it might have potential. I'd've expected fewer of them to survive 20 years though.

Danny Boyle is so fucking lucky that Zero Cool turned into the best actor he had in that stable.
Boyle has always been pretty good with casting. Robert Carlyle, Chris Eccleston, Ewan McGregor, and Cillian Murphy got some of their earliest starring film roles in Boyle's movies. The guy has a pretty good track record. I can't say he's really made any bad movies aside from The Beach (although I know a lot of people aren't fond of A Life Less Ordinary either). Even movies like Sunshine that don't entirely work have a lot to like about them. |

A "counter-culture" iconic movie of 20-somethings from the '90's getting a "20 years older farts" sequel? Expectations couldn't get much fucking lower. |

While it looks kinda meh, the use of Born Slippy and a bit of nostalgia for a time where I was hopeful for the future makes me think I need to go watch the original.
