In case anyone wants to see the "inspiration" for the Guardians promo...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZbsBzDWDis

And once again, Hasslehoff is either out of his mind, or has a truly out of this world sense of humor.

I guess that isn't mutually exclusive...

The hoff seems to have a pretty good sense of humor about himself. He had had some rough patches with drinking in the past and his career has taken a lot of really weird turns but always seems to be able to at least laugh at himself and not get to stuck on his own ego.

I have the Hoffs autobiography. He does not sugercoat anything in it about his drinking and other stuff, and he really does have a good sens of humour about himself. Its a short and good read if anyone sees it somewhere.

I never realized how much I needed Zoe Saldana in a 70's outfit in my life before this.

I also saw it and enjoyed it.

Better than Logan which was good up until the last 5min. Waaaaay better than Deadpool (which is just standard shitty movie + 'mature' one liners).

All right bitches.

Just snagged the Guardians 2 DVD, couple of observations.

1) It get even better on rewatch, and

2) Nowhere anytime do they reference the Milano as the frikkin Milano. It's "the ship" or "the craft." Never do they refer to it by name.

I even downloaded the subtitles file and did a word search -- no Milano.

Also, said nameless craft was not just damaged at the end. The battle between Nebula and Gammora left it a puddle of burning slag, which was then consumed completely by the destruction of Ego. I mean, I guess they could build another one, but the first one is vaporized toast.

Go ahead, check my work.

Milano is emblazoned across the port (I believe) wing, as it also is on my sons Lego set. So. There's that.

I thought the Milano repairs where not completed and it was left behind... never making it to Ego?

That was what I thought, too.  Rocket et al were taken by the Reavers on their ship, not the Milano.

I'll re-watch the relevant parts later when I have time, but it seemed the Ravengers took the Milano with them when they snagged Rocket. Why would they leave it after all? So it was the ship Nebula took when she left to find Gamora.

As always, could be wrong, but at least now I can go check.

Also will check for the name on the wing. Wouldn't doubt it, but there was still no verbal reference.

I think they left it behind because the repairs were incomplete.

I also think the name is not on the wing based upon images I look at.

I also think all of this stuff doesn't matter at all - whether it was reduced to atoms or fully functional at the end of the film, we would not bat an eye when it pops up in the next Marvel film.
