I'm at 2m paper DPS.  That took a few gear and stats on gear changes.  I did clear 73, can probably clear 74.  2-3 more gems and probably 75.   Ohhhhh, I see.

I really need to grind GRs. I have been very lax on that aspect this season. I think my highest leveled gem is like 38 or something hilariously low like that.

Cursed Peat was one of the bounties today. Did it with Swankster and a goon. On  screen counter was lagging behind at under 200 when we finished, but we actually got 352  awesome, for real

So, if you had to chose two Toons to play with this Season, which class would you go with?  What is the currently broken flavour of the season?

Saw a Cursed Peat, Swankster jumped in (thanks again!) and we killed 399 before the timer expired.

Yay new stash tab.

Nice!

Would a monk be able to get Cursed Peat, do you think? I know I can't get it on WD.

I think with an AE build, probably a monk could do it.

If I'm around I can help with the Curses! event.  I can kill a lot of stuff, I just can't possibly kill 350 in the timer.  undecided  It might be a zuni or arachyr build could kill 350 solo, but I'm skeptical.  Helltooth, almost certainly not.

I did manage to kill Diablo in 45s or less.  That achievement is kind of ridiculous, apparently the timer starts the moment you enter the crystal arch zone.  Go with the fastest movement build you have!  Took me 4 tries, the last one I gave up and went with angry chicken + manjumas to run me to Diablo ASAP.

Now to get to 70 HC, and one more conquest.  I can run GR 74... sometimes.  So just two or three more Caldesann's!  I can almost feel the excitement.

Blizzard came out and said you can use this build without getting banned, so I used it to get the 75 GR conquest easily. If you have a wizard the gear requirements are very, very low. This is the build. It relies on some weird bug in the Firebird/Archon set interaction to pump up your DoT damage to insane levels. I don't really get it, but the key point is that you have 0 Area Damage and 0 Critical Hit/Critical Damage on your gear/paragon points. If you have too much damage the spec doesn't work because it relies on the mobs burning without being ignited. You also take advantage of a bug where if you ignite just one blue mob and run away, you keep the 50 Firebird's stacks permanently.

It's weird as hell and you'll have to watch a video to see how it's supposed to work but it wiped the floor with GRifts up to 75 and it can go past 100 if you really feel like it.

Finally hit GR 75 with the WD.  With something like 5s to spare.  And I got outstandingly lucky on the boss, I was able to run the Traveler's Pledge 100% damage bonus almost the entire fight.

I might have to set the WD on fire now. Onward to a level 70 HC char.

Getting to that point was outstandingly unpleasant.  I'll probably play the DH unless I need some gems leveled for the rest of the season.

I am down for whatever when I am on...hit me up. We could grind up HC or hunt or whatever.

I love my WD, especially the T10 speedy Helltooth chicken build. It's great for checking for menagerist goblins, farming rifts for DBs, and doing bounties. I haven't progressed much past 65, though, as it becomes painful despite being almost all decked out in ancients.

I started a monk and have tried Inna's pet build - I think I'm at T8 with that - and the one punch Sunwuko (T8), which seems better but I'm not quite geared completely for it. Missing a couple of pieces still, it seems ok but not OP.

I started a wizard with some Firebird Archon build and wow - it seems effortless even with crappy rolls on gear. I'll have to see how I can spend more time as an Archon because that just seems invulnerable.

How long will this season last?

The season runs until about July 23, I believe.  Plus/Minus a week or so.

I do run angry chicken helltooth for speed running, that does work well.

Gives me time to get this going on the laptop. I'd like to get back into D3 for season 7.

Patch notes.

I'm no expert, but this looks like a pile of nerfs, no new content, and a couple of QoL improvements.

I hope this isn't a season patch.

It's terrible. Though really it's biggest crime is being fucking boring.

Harumph.  Is this nerf rampage a precursor to something that will be more fun?

I never looked it up, I just casually played with it for hundreds of hours. Maybe it works, I don't know. I think the original intention was to increase the quality of drops, not the quantity.

But with an increased quantity comes an increase over all quality just due to the nature of randomization. I'm more likely to find something good if I have mounds of garbage to sort through.

Anyway, I question whether Blizzard folks know what's good considering shit gets broken by players at every turn in games like this.

I never got good at D3 math.  So, whatever.

What is the relation between these patches and the PS4 game?  I should probably go looking for PS4ish information since the game itself is pretty mute when it comes to math in the first place.

The resource reduction is a good change, but keep in mind that every level of difficulty modifies your magic find, and as I recall, in a far more significant manner than whatever a socketed topaz was doing.

Discussion with nerds confirms that item quantity and difficulty trump MF.

Another thing - a lot of builds utilize a cooldown reduction gem in the helm, where they aren't socketing for more % life.  No doubt there are builds that will gladly take a resource reduction gem, but I don't think it's really that large of a buff for most players.

I haven't rolled a monk in a while or really committed to a Wizard from the start, although I'm not sure where Wizards will be given the amount of nerfs they've absorbed.

So, I'll probably give this a shot. Not really psyched about a new torment levels.  It's not really something I've ever wanted.

None of this is exciting in any way.  Am I missing something?  I'm still working on completing sets & builds (PS4 restart yo) so I might be missing something.

OK, so guaranteed keys and machines is good.

I finally got my goddamned tab a few days ago, so I can relax until the new season starts. Probably rolling monk this time.

I haven't even been arsed enough to get the cosmetic award this time around. I think Demon Hunter was a poor choice for me. I just don't find them very fun.

I don't like being railroaded into builds. Every season it's "get to TX or whatever with this exact build" yay you did it

Blizzard has decreased player discovery and creativity to fucking zero in 2 patches.
