Ray Liotta dead at 67?

https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/26/entertainment/ray-liotta-dead/index.html

Can't say I was a fan, but he was great with to Pesci and DeNiro.

Only a celebrity if you're a nerd within a specific field, but this guy was one of my EE professors at Cal and was one of the pioneers of self-driving vehicle tech back in the 1990s.

Ironically, his death was a result of being hit by a (human-operated) truck.   ACK!

Paul Sorvino died today.

Also David Warner, one of my all-time favorite actors.

Growing up the son of a Trekkie, this is sad. I figure we still have Shatner, Takei, and Koenig left from the original crew now...

59 is pretty damn young. Also, kind of bummed the article didn't mention Weird Al because I'm a total dork.

Loretta Lynn gone. I was lucky enough to see (and sometimes work with) so many country greats back when I was (forced to work) at the county fair as a kid.

Judy Tenuta died today. I was always a fan of her weird-ass comedy.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something.  We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

Angela Lansbury died at 96 today. I'm sad as she was in a lot of movies and TV shows from my younger years.

Robbie Coltrane gone at 72.

I never realized he was that old, though the last thing I saw him in was the Potter films so a bit hard to tell with the hair and the beard.

Same boat, I thought he was in his late 30s early 40s when he did the Potter films.

I remember him in stuff from when I was a kid. We are all reaching an age where people who were playing adults in the stuff we saw as a kid are downright geriatric now.

He was only 66! He looked much older.

He may be the most brilliant voice actor since Mel Blanc simply because of how smoothly he handled the difference between Bruce Wayne and Batman.

I was surprised by this. Considering the suddenness I have to assume it was a heart attack even though last I heard no cause of death had been revealed.
