As is being reported on TMC ( http://themittani.com/news/posterity-old-portraits-eve-online), the old character portrait server is going away on Oct 28th. I know a lot of people here have accounts in various degrees of inactivity (as I do). If you ever play again, you'll have a chance to create your 3D avatar and snapshot it for your character portrait; your old portrait is no longer an option. So, you have 4 days to capture your old portrait if you want it. If interested, check here for an easy way to grab it for posterity: http://www.thonky.com/eve-online-guide/character-portrait-retrieval-tool.php. This works even if your account is inactive. (I have no relation to this site, just found it linked from TMC and found that it works with my inactive characters still). edit: updated my avatar to Thalo, who taught me it's physically impossible to make a Brutor smile, even condescendingly. |
