Not particularly psyched since it's not my favorite series, tbh.  I finished 1, but every other one felt too damn grindy to bother. I probably only played parts of 3 others than the first.

I'd give 8 another shot, but it really depends if Square continues with their high price/minimal effort port policy.  And they almost never go on sale.   Ohhhhh, I see.

I'm not a huge DQ fan but if the price is right (it won't be) I'll pick a couple up for my tablet.

I might be able to put up with this as a tablet experience. Although I've said that about other handheld JRPGs and been wrong.

If it's anything like the FF iOS games it'll probably be like $16 each.

Right, that's too high for ports of old games.

Doesn't seem like a crazy price to me. Do we know if these are coming in English though?

For a mobile game that's pretty pricey. That's around twice the cost of the latest Infinity Blade game. I actually bought the first two FF games on the iOS (recently noticed they're up to V now), and they aren't bad. In a vacuum $16 wouldn't seem like a bad price for them but nobody else is charging that much for iOS games and especially not for ports of games up to 25 years old.

To me the scale of the game is more important than the platform, and I'm not sure how much work goes into porting something like that, but I get the other perspective.

$20 and they stripped out the voice acting and sound track.  Not going to bother, but mainly just for the price. I play most IOS games without any sound at all.

A quick search on Google Play says they aren't out for Android yet. Is that $20 for one of them or all 8 (I know the answer but a man can dream)?

Ahh. It doesn't come up in the first ~50 results searching for Dragon Quest so I assumed it was iOS only. swamp poop

Yeah, new stuff takes time to populate.  Also, I'll wait for a sale.  Much love for DQ8, but without the voice-acting, this seems overpriced for it's age and direct 1 for 1 port.

I'd pay quite a bit to have my DQ collection all on PC, mobile not so much.  Especially at that price.

They should have gone for Rocket Slime, that was a fun game that would actually play pretty well on a tablet.

DQ IV has dropped. $14.99 for what is apparently a port of the Nintendo DS version of the game.

The original DQ 1 is out now. 2.99 is a fair price for history, me thinks.
