I was tempted to get Blood Dragon but then I remembered Ubisoft.

Same here, but substitute in Anno 2070.

edit: tried to get all cutesy with the quote but failed

I'm not sure why but for the last few weeks whenever I open my steam library it shows all games instead of just those that are installed.  It's like it isn't remembering my selection in the show all/recent/installed list anymore and I have to set it back each time.  Anyone know how to fix this?  I couldn't find anything in their awful options pages and google is just a million questions about some bug that happened years ago.

Maybe not worth an own thread, so here:

Daily Deal: Fallout pack (Fallout 1 + 2 + Tactics) for €4,99.

Not sure what the exchange rate is now, but Euros sure do get the hose wrt pricing.  Same deal is $4.99 in Canada/US.  Poor Euros. Heartbreak

Edit:  Defiance is $4.99, too.

I'm considering defiance to add to my collection of failed FPS-MMO's.

The crappy regional pricing has been in place for ages. I remember even back in 2008 when I first joined Steam there were petitions and complaints about that exact topic and it was the main reason for my early dislike of it.

Current rate is 1 Euro = 1,3432 US-Dollar, high point was 1,590. As you said: hosed.  why so serious?

It's not like steam gets to set the prices.

Well, someone did. GoG sells in US dollar and is thus far cheaper for me. It's silly that when I buy a graphic card it's priced at a proper exchange rate (plus VAT) but for software suddenly 1 € = 1 $.  Especially for something thats digitally distributed.

Publishers set the price.  I wonder if Gog doens't do any region checking (out of their no DRM principle)

I think GoG demands those exchange rate price changes in order to let you sell on their platform. If the Publisher doesn't agree, he can't sell there.

Does anybody seriously think Steam wouldn't have more clout than GoG if they wanted to demand that and most publishers would cave?
