I didn't do too bad.

Witcher 1 & 2
Dishonored + all the DLC
Sleeping Dogs + 2 pieces of DLC

I was holding out to see if Civ 5 Brave New World or CK Old Gods went on sale, but they never did when I had the cash to spend so those will be purchases for another day. It isn't like I don't already have a shitton to play.

Came out reasonably light this year:

Dark Souls PTD Edition
Saints Row 3
Civ 5 Gods and Kings
FEZ
System Shock 2
Rogue Legacy

Just under $40.  Couple of others I might have went in on but the discounts just didn't get there.

Ok, my shame list:

The Walking Dead
The Cave
X-com - Slingshot DLC
Dishonored - Knife of Dunwall DLC
Kerbal Space Program
----------
Other games I didn't plan to buy but wasn't strong enough to hold off:

Dark Souls (FUUUUUUUU----)
Saints Row 3 - DLC compilation
Borderlands: GOTY

I bought very, very little - just posting by receipt:
1. Borderlands 2 Season Pass / Psycho: $13.58
2. FTL, Surgeon Simulator, Fex: $10.37
3. Poker Night 2: $2.49
4. Van Helsing / DCL: $9.48
5. Dishonoured / all DLC: $16.62
6. Rogue Legacy: $12.xx (for some reason didn't get a receipt for this)

This sale was uninteresting and sort of blew though, which makes sense since gaming has been a dumpster lately.

I set myself a $10 max and had 2 titles I was watching for. As a result, the only thing I bought was the Dragonborn DLC when I caught it for $9.99 somehow. Far Cry 3 and Tomb Raider will have to wait until the Winter Sale I guess.

I managed to not spend much at all, thankfully.

Fez
Dead Souls
The Elder Scrolls V: Dragonborn DLC

Decided to hold off on Rogue Legacy. I'm sure it'll be on sale, somewhere at some point.

Rogue Legacy is actually super cool and $11.99 is a fine price for a Roguetroidvania.

I ended up with

Dishonored
Sleeping Dawgs
Alan Wake franchise

And from the bargain bin (like... around or below 1 euro):

Time Gentlemen Please + Ben There Dan That, Cthulhu Saves the World + Breath of Death VII - I have nfi what any of this is (other than doublepacks of games with Lots of Words in their Titles), but some friends had them and they were like 0.50E apiece, so yeah.
Last two missing F:NV DLC (GRA, Courier's Stash)

Borderlands 2 season pass
Dishonored
Spec Ops: The Line
Dark Souls
System Shock 2

Made it out for under $40, which is pretty bad for me considering how little I've bought in recent sales. Funny that I'll preorder a $60 game without a thought and cringe when I end up buying half a dozen for the same total price.

Of course, the $60 game I intend to play right away and always do.  Some of this shit might not ever even get launched.

Good to hear; grabbed it yesterday but haven't had a chance to play it yet. Does it control ok with kb+m or are you using a controller?

Total damage:

Call of Juarez Gunslinger
XCom + DLC
Van Helsing
Tomb Raider + DLC
Dragon's Lair
Dishonored + DLC
Hotline Miami
Just Cause 2 (gift)
FTL (gift)

I have a good amount of cards, I should probably pay attention and do something with them.

It's on my super short list, but I am trying to put rules on myself about completing things. But, like most indie games, it will be on sale again, at some point in the near future.

Man, I knew I was buying a lot in this sale, but then I just glanced at the summer card progress ticker.....

Do we have a Walking Dead (pc game) thread? I'm seeing threads for the comics and tv show but not the game.

I started playing it last night and didn't want to stop, really compelling game and I'm already seeing the tough decisions not too far in (at the farm).

But holy crap I hate the lack of an inverted y axis on the lookstick. What sadistic bastard won't let you invert the view stick? Please let there be a hack for this.

I managed to contain myself, and only spent $100 this year.

StarForge
RAGE
Music Creator 6 Touch
Mars: War Logs
StarDrive
Rogue Legacy
Eador: Masters of the Broken World
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition
The Witcher 2
Borderlands 2 Season Pass
Runespell Overture
Skyrim Hearthfire
FTL: Faster Than Light

Now to see if I ever get around to playing any of them.

My total was similar;

- Prison Architect (impulse buy I semi-regret but I like Introversion so fuck it)
- Van Hellsing x2
- Port Royale 3 - Gifted
- Sleeping Dogs, some DLC
- Dishonoured
- Risen 2 - Gifted
- Dust: An Elysian Tail
- Eador: Masters of a Broken World
- Plants vs Zombies - Gifted
- Torchlight 2 - Gifted
- Fallout: New Vegas DLC
- Universe Sandbox
- Tomb Raider, some DLC
- Ys 1 & 2

Total cost: $139

More than I wanted to spend, but outside of the pre-orders I've already done on EU 4 and Total War: Rome 2 this is pretty much it for games for me until next summer, I wager. Between my Steam backlog, those two pre-orders and Hex.. I just don't see myself buying anything before then and not much even then as I'm done with my wishlist.

So far, only Sleeping Dogs has really grabbed me -- even if driving on the left side of the road fucks me up to no end.

Rogue Legacy is excellent, not that the recommendation does you a lot of good now that the sale is over.

Total damage: $105.  swamp poop I'd managed to keep the last 3 Steam sales under $30 each, not sure what happened here. Pretty happy with my purchases all the same.

-Defiance
-Don't Starve
-Fez
-Surgeon Simulator 2013
-Deadlight (only purchase on this list that was really disappointing, out of what I played anyway)
-Borderlands 2 Psycho DLC
-Swapper
-Dishonored & Dunwall DLC
-Reus
-Sang Froid
-Monaco 4 pack
-Ms. Splosionman
-Farcry 3: Blood Dragon

Definitely had more fun with this sale than any of the 2012 sales.

Risen 2,
Kairo,
Skyrim legendary edition.

I'm poor but those should keep me busy for quite a while. Especially because it motivated me to strip Oscuro's out of Oblivion and do one more try to finish the damn thing.

Borderlands Season Pass and Krieg + a couple skins
Dishonored - Knife of Dunwall
Tomb Raider
Poker Night 2
Farcry 3 Blood Dragon (holy shit this is awesome)
Risen 2 (this is my "I am never going to play this" purchase)
Mark of Ninja

Got pretty much everything I wanted. I was tempted by Monaco, but I expect it'll go for more than 50% at some point. All in all, about $60 spent, so $10 over the budget I had in my mind. I wasn't going to get Blood Dragon until it went on sale for more, but got convinced it was worth it. The Borderlands skins were total impulse buy and Risen 2 will be a game I hardly play.

Rogue Legacy totally seems like a game right up my alley, so that will get purchased sooner than later.

While Risen 2 is an overall better game at just about every level, compared to the previous titles, it does lack a bit of variety the triple character tracks of the previous titles. In other words, it tends to be PIIIIIRAAAAAATES. Where as before at least the whole mage/paladin/rogue split kinda changed things up a bit. You can also side with the natives, and maybe I should've done that to break up things a bit more. Still a cool game, but I took a break after getting my own pirate ship and haven't gotten around to continuing yet.

Forgot I wanted Blood Dragon.

Unfortunately you're in the middle of the best part, episodes 1-3. By the end of 3/middle of 4, the seams start to show in the storytelling. It's still decent, but you start seeing more of the man behind the curtain than the wizardry itself.

System Shock 2 was my only sale purchase (I expected to get this to get put on sale by GOG before Steam)

I'd have grabbed Kerbal Space Program if it had had a bigger discount (I think 40$ was also it's release promotional discount)

And here's the aftermath:

I picked up

- ANNO 2070 + all DLC
- YNAB (thank to whomever pointed this out.  The wife and I are really taking this to heart, and it's showing already)
- Borderland 2 + Season Pass

I regret passing on Civ 5, but only because I had my heart on ANNO.  Besides, I'm sure Brave New World will be on legit sale for winter.

Waiting on Bioshock Infinite and Skyrim for winter.  Too rich for my blood right now.  With Hex coming, I may not even desire them by then anyways  awesome, for real
