This is what i run with most of the time, the detaunt gets replaced with helter skelter outside dungeons to have a gap closer.  It wrecks shit, in pvp i replace the damage boost abilities with stuns/knockdowns and cc breaker.  Adrenalize is not really explained well in the tooltip, it ALWAYS gives you 2 fist resources per builder so i spam builder builder finisher builder builder finisher finisher.

My primary build for most of the game for my Illuminati character was the buildup to the gunslinger deck and then once I got there, I then switched out Deadly Aim for Turn the Tables for most soloing. I pretty much rode that build til the end of the Carpathian Fangs. It's great for taking down multiple enemies at one time but really light on defense, so you have to count on killing everything quickly which it mostly does with lots of crits and penetration bonuses. Turn the Tables helps as it's a 600 point self-heal.

The only real problem I started having was when I ran into some of the higher-end single mobs. By then I had also completed the slayer deck, so I had a decent amount of sword skills to switch out from the gun skills in my build. This final combo got me through everything but the last bit of Venetian Missile Crisis.

I need to redo my build, Transylvania turns out not to be friendly for a Blade/Fist affliction and penetrate build.

Transylvania makes you rethink a lot of things.

Yeah, but it has a lot more to do with cheezy mobs rather than actual build viability.

The main problem for me was the fact that impairs weren't as useful but some self healing with fists should sort you out? I ended up using a blood 50AP self shield that scaled on Attack Rating instead of healing but also supplemented it with some minor healing from Blood

Builds based around hinders or impairs become pretty useless in Transylvania, which is a pity because they are fun to use.

If you do nightmare dungeons you'll find you have to rethink your build yet again, and you'll get more used to the idea of having different builds for different places - not just a DPS, heal and tank build but different DPS builds, different tank builds etc.

You have so much AP by that point that having a single build would be pretty impossible anyways.

I've almost filled the entire wheel at this point, so I've got a lot of options. Sad thing is, the only dungeon I've done had been Polaris.

Nightmare or Elite?

I'll try and hit you up Timezones aligning for some dirty Nightmarish action

Yeah Hinders and Impairs are the bees' knees' in PvP though

Neither, straight regular. Last run, I went in as a DPS and ended up tanking it because I had better gear and stats than anyone else in the group and the tank we had couldn't handle the final boss.

I made a tank just to see and the diff in survivability is pretty significant.  I can survive most things at a much lower "level" than my dps-y guy, but fuck me it takes forever to kill stuff!  I guess I have to pay attention to the talismans and junk now.
