Or has steam been really spotty lately? Friends saying offline when they are on, even during games you are actively playing with hem. Friends lists going wonky. Steam cloud unreachable. The past few months have been really unstable in a number of areas.

You call it an accident. I call it justice.

I have noticed multiple times while playing BL2 that I will get an error of Lost Connection to Steam. When I go to start the game again, it will ask to upload to the cloud. Since I am not regularly on Steam, I really didn't think much of it and concluded that my internet connection slowed down enough in high traffic time to lose connection.

I haven't personally had many problems.  Except I've noticed over the last few months that when I play Magic 2013, it doesn't sync up correctly sometimes, and says I need to choose to sync up the info on my disk or from the cloud.  Doing either usually results in what ever I did last getting erased, like I'll notice a few cards for a deck I unlocked having reverted back to locked.  This has only happened to me a handful of times, however.  Other than that, steam has been working perfectly for me.

Yeah been having problems too, mostly with the friends list not connecting or, when it does connect not showing me anyone online, despite me actually chatting with them in mumble.

Mostly the problems happen shortly after the PC is woken from sleep. Seems to settle down a bit after half an hour or so.

It's been happening to me too; Borderlands 2 is the first game I've played multiplayer heavily on Steam so I just kind of assumed this was par for the course. Mostly the issue is randomly losing connection, which isn't a huge deal during single player since it usually reconnects in a minute or two but during multi it sucks because it drops you (or everyone if you're hosting).

Odd.. since I thought it was still peer to peer networking you'd think steam hiccuping wouldn't drop you out of the game.

The spottiness has a lot to do with backend stuff they are messing around with for Big Picture and the social community updates. You guys running beta clients or vanilla?

Time Warner loves to do that shit. They are currently dicking around with some UI update that has twitter in it for some reason, on one corrupt info screen I saw a twitter icon with a slash through it. They have some premium feature stuff (the total home stuff) that almost nobody uses but gets the bulk of resources and shits up usage for all the peons.

Do they owe you money?

Yes, but that's not it, they are still on VOIP :)

This ( Disconnects ) is still a problem.
