Oh great, lensflare from lightsabres too. His defense of that was pretty buyable. It started with basically "I totally overdid it. Like a million times" and went into "But you gotta understand, lensflare is this fucking thing we hate." and sorta talked about how much of a PITA lens-flare is when you don't want it, and how they have filters or whatever to prevent it now, and suddenly they can add it back in through effects but ONLY when they want it, so now they're not fighting to induce it just right when they want it and bitching when it shows up the wrong way. He's not the first nor the last guy to go "Oh cool, I can do X now!" and then overdo it. :) Still, pretty happy with this. The Star Trek reboot was great. |
