Yeah, the Rogue and Magneto hero packs should be insta-buys for anyone willing to spend money on this game imo as they get a good amount back in Gs. ALso, run a search for marvel heroes as some packs don't show up on the store page

I was unsatisfied with Magneto until mid 40s.  After that, I thought he was a lot of fun.

Rogue is by far the most complicated hero.

Ya new computer upgrades! Uh, now the hard part, should I ask for the big $200 pak, get some stuff on Steam (the 2 new ones aren't on sale), or just try out a hero? The Steam sale doesn't have Thor or Capt America.

My favorite characters from the comics are Thor and Capt America, I'm willing to try some others, but what is a good starting off hero?

One of the really nice recent changes is that now you can try out all the starter heroes up to level 10 before having to pick one.  I heard the Black Panther was bugged and wasn't showing up to try out, hopefully that was fixed this patch because he would be my recommendation.  But try them all and see which you like the most!

Over and out.

Yeah, try them ALL to 10 before you pick anything, it'll really let you know what play style you like.  I loved starting with Storm because things just melted.  She's changed now (or at least I have all my powers to redo !), so maybe she's not as good, but it used to be just 3 area powers and she'd own everything.

But really;  try them ALL out.

Thor is incredibly good now, Captain America is bottom of the barrel.

Captain America is bottom of the barrel.

In terms of damage out, no doubt. In terms of fun out though, once he's in the 40s and gets his jump he gets a fair bit of style that makes him good fun.

Well, that is true but there are so many characters that are both fun and effective now and one of those happens to be his other favorite character.

I finally finished my cosmic of X-23... I'm never doing that again. What a pain in the ass.

I think I ended up paying like 30 bucks to buy boosts to get to 800% exp. It was still a slog.

I'm disappointed to find out only the stat allocation changes, but not the stolen powers, for Rogue's alternate skill sets.

She get's Nightcrawler's teleport attack though, so I'm already in love.

And an actual teleport from Kirigi, head to ICP as soon as it is available.  That teleport never leaves my bar.

Yeah, Rogue is actually a lot of fun.  I'm using the pretty standard (it seems) Cyclops levelling and even then it's rather fun to 'build' your own hero.

I just wish she wasn't so.... Southern.

Oh man... Steam Sale GotG Pack for £14.99... that's a lot of stuff

2 Heroes (Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon)
3 Team-Ups (Groot, Gamora, Drax)
4 Costumes (Star-Lord Conquest Costume (Default), Star-Lord Guardians of the Galaxy Movie Costume, Rocket Raccoon Modern Costume (Default), Rocket Raccoon Guardians of the Galaxy Movie Enhanced Costume)
2 Hero S.T.A.S.H. (extra Hero specific inventory)
30 Fortune Cards

...and I don't have any of it.

Should I? I know Rocket's got a lot of fans (and if I hadn't chosen Hawkeye as my starter hero ( why so serious? ) I'd have chosen Rocket, but any views on how Star-Lord is to play?

(This in a fortnight where I pre-ordered X-23 and picked up Moon Knight with splinters...)

Did you link an Insane Clown Posse video?  I suspect you did.

I'm enjoying Thor, he seems a lot better than when I first tried him out.  Dunno if I'll get him to 60, but I'll keep plugging away.  Some day, I will follow the path of those who can level to 60 in 4 hours.

I am eyeing that Magneto pack on steam.  Seems a really good deal.

My Rogue tried ICP last night and got the teleport skill, which is good. What's also insane is she got fifteen levels in about ten seconds and loot dropped like rain. What an insanely speedy place !

Oddly she's now almost the highest level I have, she's that much fun.

Due to double splinters, random hero time. Elena opened and got....Colossus

Oh well.

It's not that, it's that I have Hulk and Thing already.

And I don't play them much because they're big strong guys who punch.   I don't get very excited about that.

Hence, Colossal disappointment.  lol.

I like that Rogue using Colossus' power has her skin turn to osmium steel.

So far I seem to be stealing a lot of x-men powers with a side of Norse goodness planned.  (And I'll pretend the lightning is Storm, instead of her cold which is more ice-man.)

The work they put into Rogue was impressive. She gets wolvie claws, bone naturally, and when you're shooting Scotts eyebeams she does the animation

She's also an interesting springboard for 'Generic non-licenced hero game' which would be unlikely in the extreme. But hey a guy can wish.

I really like how they've changed the endgame from trying to get uniques which were pretty rare to showering you with uniques but designing them so getting a max roll is very very hard.  Look at this thing, it can roll 1 fighting which makes all the other rolls completely irrelevant, it can roll +1 to all which ditto, the melee/ranged procs are also variable (at least they are tied to each other), and then you have power duration crit rating and health all of which you want high rolls on.  I went through three mondays worth of stockpiled boxes before i got one i was "ok" with and i still don't think its good enough to slap a challenge bonus on it.

For truth on that. I have crushed several hundred Cyclops uniques into relics. At least I now know how people get full stacks of these things. I think some of the "fun" for me though comes from the fact that I am not just hunting uniques. I am farming Omegas, Odin mark, demon eyes, "good" rolled uniques and the ever elusive costume cores. About the only thing that annoys me are the damn cores. There needs to be a better way of doing that. Everyone wants a combination of medkit and invulnerability and/or loh.  They could really do something like the pets for cores. Let me reroll the specific slots and make it tedious, but at least that way it's more mentally attainable.

On another note :  If you want to play, do it NOW.  The Christmas bonuses that they are showering on you are utterly insane.
