I didn't see it on the patch notes but you can now change your synergies anywhere, not just in hubs.

Over and out.

I can't tell what changed in the patch because this game is still like a Pollock painting in my brain.

Apparently I got some new orbs today.  I can't find them now, but they were very pretty.

The login rewards give you experience orbs sometimes.  I'm assuming that's what he got.

Or the Omega orbs. They look different and come slowly enough when you are just starting out that they might still look "new".

Dark blue.  Omega Orbs sound right.  The suggestion that there is more than one item that doesn't appear in your wallet or inventory is pretty much in line with my notions of this game.

Omega points are basically this games paragon system, they just appear in orb form.

Ah, Omegas, yeah makes more sense.

Ignore them until your 2nd or 3rd character hits 60. You just get frustrated before that because abilities cost so many points to unlock. By then you should have a few hundred points and it's more fun to spend them.

Yeah.  I got one of them and was like Ooooo, Yes !!!

Then I went to the spend screen and the prices were so lol I knew I wasn't meant to be there yet.

Yeah, the omega orb system is a huge letdown.

The correct answer is S.P.I.N. tech until you max it, after that it gets tricky.

Every time I read this thread, someone suggests a different currency to victory.

At least there's a currency tab for all this Currency to Victory types now.

Now?  This game.

Not for those Omega Orbs, though.  Maybe I'm not squinting hard enough.

Omega points are not technically currency, they are alternate advancement point.  Look for them under the omega tab in your powers window.

I always get Tag Rounds for any hero that doesn't have an enemy radar power, because I like seeing red dots on my mini map.

Only Tag Rounds though. There are a couple of other places for the red dots that are folly.

Maxing one of the ally damages gave more to squirrel girl than the 10 points in spin tech I had previously so even spin tech isn't a mandate.

I feel bad for Squirrel Girl and Rocket Raccoon players; like 90% of general build advice doesn't apply to them and good luck figuring out which is the other 10%.

It's actually not that bad for summoners. The big challenge is figuring out at which point it is more beneficial to start investing in personal dps over summoned ally dps. For RR that seems to be a bigger issue than it is for SG since she has abilities like Squirrel Presents which use Summon Dmg. The only non-summon dmg omega I'd consider at this point for SG would be Guilt Suppression Research since she has such low brut rating, and flat brutal strike %/chance doesn't transfer to pets (only brut rating seems to) so hela blessings aren't as effective. When it comes to that decision, you just drop points from Merge and Possess.

So yeah, here is SG omega build I came up with that uses the +summon dmg% with the best returns. The exception being I went higher Shadow King Possession than Merge and Possess because crit/brut rating are, imo, worth the slightly higher cost per point.
Here is the same thing, but without M&P and invests in Guilt Suppression

Had my best ever run of X-Defense last night with a pug. We got to wave 29. There was a beast of a Psylock just tearing things up. Even then, the loot'splosion at the end was rather disappointing. X-Defense and Holosim are really kind of lame from a loot point of view. X-Defense is kind of fun though.

Psylocke is just so insanely good right now i doubt it can last.  I'm dropping cosmic bosses in around 10 seconds.

I was sorely tempted, but costumes are a hole I don't want to go down. I've changed a few whose default costume I just can't stand, like Squirrel Girl, but going, "OOH Cool" for too many will only lead to a broken wallet.  Thankfully Gazillion seems to be giving good costumes as the default for most everyone. (Except SG and Jean Grey. Bleh.)

SG's default is iconic, even if it isn't great.  I can forgive that.  (Not that I didn't instantly buy her aviator one, and the holiday one when available.)

I have no point of reference for how he was before his changes, but Cyclops now is pretty fun.  He can clear out an area in no time.  I like being able to summon in other X-Men as well.

Also, the Halloween event has been pretty handy for picking up artifacts and unique items, though I'm running out of bank space.

Turn the repeat uniques into 500k credit chests or stacks of relics.  Edit: or feed a pet until it gets +3 fighting.

Yea - I ended up buying two more stash pages, I'm feeding these guys way too much money. This event is crazy drops. I'm also using a few pots to get my special item find up and running the trick or treats nearly back to back. I must be up like 500 relics so far from trading in gear from Psylocke, who is now incredible.  If I had more space I'd save stuff to turn into X-23 gear when she gets released.  This might be the best event they have done yet.
