Of Special Note

Radiance Removal
We’ve heard your feedback! The radiance system has been removed from the game. A developer diary detailing the system, its goals, and the reasons for its removal will be released in the coming weeks.

High Value Armour no longer Sellable
Based on player feedback, armour sets obtained from Raids can no longer be sold to vendors. If you want to remove these items from your character you will have to manually delete them by dragging them out of your pack and into the main screen. The 'Classic' Armour sets obtained from Skirmish barter vendors are also updated to not be sold at vendors.

Map Home is now a Skill
Players have suggested we make the Map Home a skill instead of an inventory item. DONE! The map home and milestone system has been revamped! The map home item now grants you a skill which will be the new way for you to recall to your home milestone. When you use a milestone, a new UI will appear and allow you to select whichever recall skill you would like to bind to that milestone. After accepting which skill you want to bind to that milestone, the skill will update to show you which milestone it is bound to and you will be able to use the skill just as you used to use the map home item to return to the appropriate milestone.

Monsterplay (PVMP)changes
The starter area for the Ettenmoors for Monster Players got a much needed face-lift. It is not perfect but at least a step in the right direction. Players choosing to play fa monster character have had their starting skills and abilities adjusted in order to improve their initial experience and survivability. A full developer diary detailing these changes and upgrades to the armour sets available to Free Peoples, and other updates will be available soon.

Class Updates
The Minstrel, Burglar, and Hunter classes have received a number of changes. You can read the full details of each in their appropriate developer diaries.

Character Panel and Cosmetic System enhancements
The character panel has been revamped! Full details on the changes and enhancements to the Cosmetic system will be revealed in an upcoming developer diary.

Legendary Item Update
The legendary item system has received some significant changes. Full details will be provided in an upcoming developer diary. Please note many of the changes are incomplete and we will monitor your feedback on the changes.

Volume III: Book 3, Echoes of the Dead
The Epic story continues! What are the Mysterious relics? Full details on the next Book in the Epic story will be revealed in an upcoming developer diary along with information on new instances and an all new 12 man raid.

Moria Battle Instances Converted to Skirmishes
The old Moria Battle Instances have been converted to Skirmishes.Completing the old Moria Battle Instances and turning in all of the associated quests prior to release of Update 2 will result in the Skirmishes being automatically available to that character. If Volume II, Book 5, Chapter 5 is not turned in, but the Battle Instances (and their wrapper quests) are completed and turned in, you will have to take V2B5C5 again, but the objectives will be automatically satisfied and you can complete the quest. If a given wrapper is not turned in before the Skirmish-conversion, you will have to run that quest as a Skirmish before advancing.

Final patch notes are up.

I still don't see anything about fixing the DX10 landscape lighting bug that's been ruining my screenshots since Winter-Home. :(

I didn't realize they also overhauled Evendim.  That's a great improvement since I personally find 35-45 a real drag.

With either DX10 or DX11 options enabled, players may notice a harsh shadow off in the distance that should not be there.

*sigh*

I guess it will be another six months before I can take a screenshot that doesn't look hideous.

Having read the list now, there are some fairly serious bugs here.

  • Bree-land: Thornley's Rescue: Quest does not recognize Fellowship status and will update and fail players in the vicinity when the escort is initiated by another player.
  • Defeated Characters retreating from combat with an active 'over time' effect will be stuck in combat when they reach the Rally Circle.
  • Long term debuffs and DoTs are being removed from monsters when transitioning between drama and combat modes.
  • While a rare issue, sometimes players will not be able to see other fellowship members or monsters after joining an instance. Players will be able to see each other on the radar. If this occurs, please leave the instance, disband the fellowship, log out and then log back in. This will clear things up.
  • If a player has DX10 enabled Morskor, the Fell beast, may disappear sometimes even though he is always present.
  • Under specific circumstances it is possible for characters to be reset to a previous state (rolled back) when crossing server boundaries.

It's a much shorter list than last time, but some of these things are  ACK!. Invisible instance mobs? A raid boss you can't see under DX10? It seems a bit sloppy.

the new LI relic system looks worse than it is.  Once you grok it, the ability to roll your own relics is great.  I just need to find out now how to make a relic_unload scroll.

Tried one of the new 3-man's (in Oatbarton).  Got half-way solo :D

Edit:  BTW you get a 2nd age 65 secondary item for finishing the new Epic Book

Ohhhhh. I need one of those.

I've got a decent 65 TA secondary on my LM now, but my staff is still redoubtable old "Emerwen," a 52 SA I found when I'd just started Moria. It had the perfect set of legacies for my play style. In the two years since, I haven't found anything better.

Yup.  They buried that bad boy.

No Nerf, but I put a link to this very thread and I said that you all can guarantee for my purity. I even mentioned your case, and see if they can take a look at your lawn from a Michigan perspective.
