Not sure how popular Fist of the North Star was in the USA, but in Italy in the 80s it was more than huge, it was everything. Anyway, after many many many shitty games, looks like finally a good one is coming. I played it in beta. It's Magic and it's a decent iteration of Magic, though its interface reminds me more of those singleplayer Magic games they released a few years ago. It does a terrible job of explaining the flow of the game, the cards have keyword text on them that it also doesn't explain very well sometimes (so it's tough for newbies to understand what it does or those who might not have played Magic in every release) and it's deck construction interface is fuckawful (Yes, Hex's was better though still bad). There's only I think 2 formats as well. It won't replace MODO for hardcore players.

As a very casual magic player I'm finding it fun so far.  My biggest gripe was it looked like there was no friends list (or way to play against a friend?).  Can always chat in discord but at least playing against a friend would be nice.

I have a lot of cards to learn, I have not played in quite awhile.

I very briefly thought about buying ACO today, but holding off for a sale like I promised myself I would. What really turned me off was the newest marketing scheme:

Game: $60
Game & Deluxe: $80
Game & Season Pass: $100
Game, Deluxe & Season Pass: $120

That's... a lot of money to get the whole game. Also, only the $100 and $120 versions provide gameplay tonight; the proletariat has to wait until Friday.

I was also looking at AC:O and balked at the pricing scheme. Luckily, I've never really gotten into the series, so I figure I'll wait for a sale or just forget about it.

RDR2 is also exorbitant, with the top tier being multi-player only perks. And no season pass even available. I bit the bullet on it (one tier up from the bottom), because Rockstar, but it pretty much ruled out any more purchases for me.

Its still buggy as hell. Better avoid it until most of the bugs are patched out.

I mean, I enjoyed the hell out of it, but all the broken quests are annoying. One patch a location for a quest doesn't appear on the overland map, the next day a quest script is bugged out and a quest NPC doesn't respond anymore, the third day your Throne room is filled with people that should have despawned after their respective quest was done.

Give it a few weeks to months, then you might enjoy it. Right now my paranoia that I break another long quest chain again overshadows all the fun I have with the rest of the game.

It is incredibly buggy, and is currently impossible to complete without some seriously game-fucking issues, especially regarding your companions.

Set your PS4 messages to private unless you like factory resetting your system. It's another one of those fucking emoji message crashes that plagues messaging apps. Some say deleting the messages through other means (Messaging phone app or online) will work; others say it will not.
