I got my nephew to watch that particular video the other day and I think he fell in love with her.  And Ninja is BAUSSOME, for real.

I don't know.  Do I look like I'm staring through your window admiring that cute little dimple on your butt?  What's wrong with everyone here?  How can you not love my music?

Ya, if you don't like Die Antwoord yer broke. You get two viewings to get over the WTF element, but after that, be there or be square. You don't have to be a raving fan, but you have to at least find them humorous.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

Yeah, so I was going though my stuff the other day and found a couple of tickets for Nirvana that I never got to use because Kurt killed himself.  It was for a show in London on 4/5/1994.  They are in pristine shape.  I wonder what those would go for.

I haven't identified as a metal fan in years either, too much cookie monster and dumbassery.  Still love the instrumentation and wish more good non-wankery instrumentals were out there.

This is a psychedelic rock track just released today. I saw this band at a festival on Saturday. They were amazing, worthy of anything from the 1970s.

Just got back from seeing Red Fang again.  Short set, but they were off the charts awesome.  Very few times I've seen bands play live better than their albums.  The venue mixed them really, really well.

Obligatory "Wires".

I've enjoyed playing their tune in Rocksmith. At least it works with Rocksmith's wonky tab system, unlike a Megadeth solo  ACK!

Just noticed Soundwave festival, down the road from me in Sydney, Australia, this weekend has this hilarious line-up:

Metallica
Linkin Park
Blink-182
A Perfect Circle
The Offspring
Paramore
Garbage
Tomahawk
Stone Sour
Kyuss Lives
Anthrax
Sum 41

... and others.

Anthrax is really good right now. I'd also love to see APC.

If Slayer is appearing, they dumped Dave Lombardo for the Australian tour (because he wanted to get paid and was questioning what management was taking out of the till). Gary Holt is still filling in for Hanneman but Gary Holt is awesome. The dude from Testament filling Dave's spot isn't (imo).

I'm quite disappointed in how they handled it, but then Kerry has never hidden the fact that he doesn't really like Dave that much.  Who doesn't want to get paid though?  No one wants to be a chump.  Seeing Slayer without Lombardo drumming is not the same, he is amazing for the style he plays.  John Dette is an average to all right drummer but it just won't be the same.

Not just that:

Quote
Machine Head and bassist Adam Duce have parted ways. The split is amicable, and Machine Head would like to wish Adam the best with his current and future endeavors. The band will continue on for the time being as a three-piece and have begun the writing process for their follow-up to 2011's "Unto The Locust". A late 2013 release is projected.

Ace Frehley's house is in foreclosure.  HA!  Oops... I mean, poor guy.

Ace Frehley's house:

It's the one closest to the bottom, I think.

Gene Simmon's house:

I guess it's good to have a body part to fall back on in times of austerity.

There are reasons why people dislike Gene Simmons.

I don't mind that he made a fortune off KISS™, but fucking the guys that got him there and then dressing up other people as them is pretty slimy. Without Ace and Peter, there'd be no Gene. The post-original lineup music was so bad that even though some of it has done well, without the 70s success it would've been Winger level success at best.

I was always more of a Judas Priest fan myself. Of course, what they pulled on Halford wasn't the greatest thing, but at least he cashed in. And they've done the Ace move by replacing KK with a KK look-alike which is kind of creepy.

I love Slayer but I've always gotten the impression Kerry King is a MAJOR douche. A "my way or the highway" kind of guy. And it isn't like this is the first time Lombardo has left.

I think he left twice before.  But this seems like a douchbag way to sack him and for douchebag reasons.

As for Simmons, I hate him, too.  He looks like such a gruesome hemorrhoid when he sticks that tongue out!  Not crazy about Kiss - sorry if I insulted anyone's teenage nostalgia - but Gene Simmons makes me cringe.

I like Kiss and Gene Simmons well enough. I mean, if you watched the show at all, you got the sense he was an utter whore for the dollar and anybody not behind that better get the fuck out of the way. Frehley's troubles are as much about his inability to stay clean and sober when making money hand over fucking fist, and probably not being sober enough to realize when a real huckster like Simmons is taking you and your royalties for a ride.

So pretty much 90% of the rock stars out there.
