Sadly CoH/V dropped 10k active subs (from 134k to 124k) and the concurrent player numbers were pretty low. The lag in getting out another free issue hasn't helped at all.

Ouch that hurts. And I doubt I13 is going to give a boost either. They are going to have to hope that the mission builder in I14 is stellar.

This quarter isn't going to be good to them - although direct sales are good (the booster packs obviously sell well) players were probably drawn off into playing other MMOs that launched and will be back playing WotLK.

The changes being made in I13 aren't going to pull back players as you've said, so that player mission creation system better be pretty awesome or else ChampO is probably going to take a chunk of players (assuming it launches in April 2009).
