I've died solo, a lot. Does that count?

Solo dieing must be one of my strong points too. I haven't killed anything bigger than a noobship solo Oh ho ho ho. Reallllly?

My First solo kill (one of my only kills really) was when someone in a Punisher tried to pick a fight with my Vexor while I was ratting in a low sec system. Lock, Drones, Drain, Loot.

I wouldn't have even realized it was a person if it weren't for the fact that:
  • It was the wrong race for NPCs in that area
  • He called me a 'cunt licking pussy' a few times  Ohhhhh, I see.

As to Yahtzee, His experience probably would've been mine, if I wasn't scooped up by a little newbie mining corp within the first few days of playing. Even then, I didn't last all that long.

I think my first solo kill was a Goon in a ceptor. I was in a crow, amarr scanned him down in his covops, and I warped in and podkilled the mofo. He was AFK and in a SS, but it was enough to get me blood thirsty and the pulse racing.

If it's so bad to kill noobs in noobships, why did the devs make it so easy?  DRILLING AND MANLINESS

So how has CCP helped noobs get into a corp?  I mean it’s a fact there are people who join MMO’s who don’t anyone already.  But Eve is the only game I experienced where there are individuals and corps that exist just to rape, rip off and exploit (mining mules) some new players.  Didn’t happen to me but I got some very strange tells…  “Join my university and I will teach you how to PvP…”  Sorry that game has spoiled for me.

That is why the game is so great. I guarantee if this game wa swatered down it wouldn't have half the subs it has now, at least from my experience in the game the players love the ruthlessness. Could just be people I've encountered.

You can rape, rip off, exploit people....and basically if you fall for dumb shit.....tough luck

Some games have hand holding. Eve sure as fuck isn't one of those :) Reminds me a little of UO, when you would log in and you have a practice sword and an ugly shirt and pants + 100 gold. Have fun! Separate the men from the boys.

On the downside, it's not for everyone.

On the up side, it's not for everyone.

I was tempted to respond to the original post with something along this lines of "we like it this way, keeps the weak and fucktarded away"*, but I thought it sounded too elitist.  Well, there it is  DRILLING AND MANLINESS

*disclaimer: it doesn't always work. There are some unexplainable exceptions

Witty banter not included.

My first kill was when I got jumped doing some ratting for Slay. He lost a lot more than I killed.

That might have been legit, ironically. EVE University is one of the most respected and trustworthy corporations in the game, and it caters specifically to newbies.

I joined Eve-u for a while with an alt but hated it, but then I'm totally anti-authoritarian by nature so that's to be expected.

I'm going to escape, come back, wipe this place off the face of the Earth, obliterate it and you with it.
