Tell me why I should (or shouldn't) buy this
Xanthippe:
Now that you've been playing a few days (maybe I should have waited longer), why should I or shouldn't I buy this?
(I assume it will work on my month old computer.)
I can't be bothered to log into WoW these days - totally bored with that. City of Heroes seems perfect for me, but I'm not doing a whole lot there - it's so casual friendly though, I love that part of it.
So - should I or shouldn't I?
And what's the M rating thing for, is there stuff my 9 and 12year olds shouldn't see?
Brogarn:
For me, so far, it's combat pure and simple. The graphics are pretty, the quests are familiar, etc. But the combat is pretty fun for me.
As far as the M rating goes, I'm guessing it's for the nipples and blood.
schild:
Actually, they did a pretty good job with the quests (making them mature, that is). First mmo I've ever read more than 50% of the quest text. Sure, some I blow through, but i was playing to crush!
Signe:
The combat is nice and we have quite a few f13ers (and their alts) in Bat Country. Schild and some others can tell you more about the crafting, I'm so slow I'm not there yet. I've enjoyed the quests. The game feels very linear to me, however, but that might just be my early level. And, yeah, M for nipples and hacking off limbs. The odd blood splatter on your screen that I don't much like. Some of the body tats wipe out nipples.
schild:
The crafting is time consuming, but not really. My biggest issue, since I can already survive in Purple Lotus pretty easily and gather really, really quickly since all those waypoints are on my ingame map, is getting the fucking paper and ink to make the blueprints. I could probably have a mess of buildings up this weekend, or at least the walls, if I had the damn blueprint items. I've searched fucking everywhere :( :( :(
