Fully agree! Pictured: German High Seas fleet interned at Scapa Flow post WW1. After 1 year the crew scuttled the whole fleet to prevent the ships being given to the Entente allies as war reparations.

Fully agree!

Interestingly, the last deaths of WW1 were some German sailors that were shot by British Marines as they were scuttling their ship.

The first picture looks like a nice hillside neighborhood of Bergen Norway has suddenly broken off and gone to sea.

Walked outside onto the balcony to look at the sky at sunset, because I am still new to this setting. Look over toward Denver and caught this:

Everyday I come to the conclusion I made the right choice leaving Pittsburgh behind.

More ship-y stuff:

No idea how much they messed with the colours or saturation (a lot?), but it's still a nice shot.

Plane is 'Murican (Lightning II), pilot Britannic (Pilkington), carrier Italian (Cavour).

Edit: Some bonus Cavour:

So wife and I are moving out of our first apt here in Denver - so we are finishing up moving the rest of our crap, mostly the non-necessities. Tonight we went over and I had just finished and vacuumed out the master bedroom area, closed the door and walked over to talk to the wife. I walk past the balcony door to this little guy just chilling on the railing.

https://imgur.com/gallery/cz6KDlq

He was there for a good 15 minutes while my wife kept taking pics and videos, then promptly took a shit and dove off the rail and into the trees across the way. He actually came back a few minutes later and then took off after something, but looks like he missed since I saw him in a tree a few seconds after he hit the bushes.

Birds are awesome until they shit on you. Just ask Sammy Coleridge!

I noticed at least one cooper hawk has returned to our area (a mother raised 2 fledglings in my backyard a few years back, which was aaawesome).

Ships aside this is a very pretty picture IMHO. Lovely blue and I think you can even see Earth curvature on the horizont...

Full size: https://i.imgur.com/yhHxl2T.jpeg

The big one is the Murican one of course: Harry S. Truman

Front Juan Carlos I, Spanish amphibious assault ship / carrier

back Cavour, Italian carrier

The escorts are one from each nation. You can nicely tell their age from the changes in ship design. The newer the more emphasis on clean superstructure (avoiding right angles and clutter on deck)

Types built from:
1980 Ticonderoga
1997 Álvaro von Bazán
2000 Horizon

Regarding earth curvature, this is a view from Dun Aonghasa, a fortress ruin on the Aran Islands into the sea. I remember it making you realize how small you are compared to Earth when you stand there.
