Tried to post a similar picture from America, but Google returned some really bad images for "Shot by police, America".

The lighting makes the steam look more like methane flares from a Blade Runner-esque dystopia.

The totally-not-a-nuclear-explosion sunrise adds to the effect.

Chip off the ole block eh.

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something.  We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

Got absolutely no idea to be honest.

My best guess is that the fox fell into the water, froze into ice, and somebody spotted it while making a fishing hole (maybe) and extracted the poor fellow from his icy tomb.

Pretty much this. Animals fall in and then float due to decomposition and then get frozen into a hunk of ice.

Man, I'd hate to be the guy having to do that pour. Lucite gets airbubbles so easily.

Anyway, the story on the reddit thread the fox was posted to was exactly what you guys said. it drowned then a guy came along, saw it and extracted it.

Yeah there were several stories about this happening when that crazy "even Sicily was covered in snow" event last month in Europe as a lot of bodies of water effectively flash-froze.

Yeah, impressive piece of work, but pretty sure I could never actually make myself sit down at that table.  Can you imagine sitting at the head of the table with your crotch right about level with the snarling mouth of an alien monster?
