So, what did ya get? What did you give?

With three kids under 6 it's all about them, but my brother did give me a new 5-wood. I also go to play with the Wii I gave the kids.

I gave my wife a machine washable electric blanket to keep her cold feet off me!

I have never played WoW.

A Samsung LN-T4671F, and a selection of DVDs to watch on it.

And underwear :P

The wife got kinda cheated on presents this Christmas (although she appreciates the TV), but only because she's already picked out $3500 in diamonds for her birthday next month

As far as the rest of the family, we draw names out of a hat then set a 50 dollar price limit, so I got my 14 year old niece a gift card to the Gap.  Which probably she was able to buy one sock with it.

Some great cds, Jelly Roll Morton 5-disc set, Tony Bennett 2-disc set, Brian Setzer's new one, Junior Wells, Son Seals. Tenacious D's masterworks DVD, a Setzer DVD.  Big gift was a couple hundred bucks towards the guitar amp I saved for most of last year. So...as soon as we get an afternoon free, I'm heading out to test out amps.

It still sucks

Some of you guys are way spoiled. I just got a shirt and some books (and a 360 wireless adapter).

Of course, I also buy everything I want so there's not a lot left for folks to pick from come Christmas.

I try to make a point of not buying anything for myself starting around November (and putting them on an Amazon wishlist instead).  Delayed gratification is hard, but it makes things easier on family members who have no idea what to get me.

I gave husband a PS3 and Assassin's Creed, Heavenly Sword and Uncharted. In return, he let me buy a new desk and a flatscreen monitor for the home office. And he gave me Microsoft Office 2007. So I basically got the gift of Working From Home.

I got $30 for Hannukah.

And nothing else. Period. Zero. Nada. Most people didn't even send me cards.

Of course, I brought this on myself by ignoring my family (mostly) for the last 4 years.

Same boat here.

My friends did insist on asking me what I wanted though, and I made some strange requests that they couldn't pull off... So in that respect, I kind of screwed myself there.

You should do what I do, cut out the giving part and just buy yourself presents!

That said, I got an unexpected check from my mom, and a handmade card from my niece and nephew. So I'll spend the check on slightly inappropriate gifts for the wee ones.

I got a bunch of cool stuff, but the most braggable was the AC/DC Family Jewels DVD set. Thanks for the recommendation, Signe, its very cool!

I should get back to nature, too.  You know, like going to a shop for groceries instead of the computer.  Maybe a condo in the woods that doesn't even have a health club or restaurant attached.  Buy a car with only two cup holders or something. -Signe

A little expensive.   Ohhhhh, I see.

I'm not a huge photography buff or anything, but I like to take pictures of friends/when travelling, so something nice but not crazy expensive is what I'm looking for.  Something in the $200-400 range would be fine.

I'm still upset over losing well over a thousand pictures when my hard drive fried itself a few months ago (nothing recoverable).  Think I'll get a external hard drive when I pick up the new camera...

Of course, the reason I even NEED a new camera is because my old one was stolen from my luggage while it was lost in Chicago and I was in Europe, about a month after my hard drive exploded.

I'm going to go cry in the corner now.

Oh, and the 42" Samsung 1080p (65 series) is sexy too. I bought that myself though.

I like my Canon Digital Rebel XT for vacation photos, but anything that size is a PITA to carry around. Nothing beats a point-n-shoot camera for good easy pictures - personally I use the Olympus Stylus for a pocket camera. The nice thing about the Rebel is that I can swap out lenses with it depending on what I'm snapping.
