So, my favorite beer to date is Liberty Ale. Can you say "hoppy"?

My favorite common beer is Newcastle. Closest beer to a chick drink probably...but what the hell. I like sweet.

My favorite cheapo beer is.... Well, I don't have one. I'll go out of my way to drink one of the above.

My favorite newly discovered beer is Chang... From Thailand of all places. I guess it qualifies as a cheap, it's just hard to find. It's lager, but sweet like Newcastle. Random internet review: So good I named my dog after it.

My favourite beer is Leffe Brun. I also like a good German Wheat beer (like Paulaner) in the winter.
I'm been enjoying Mildra Brewery's Desert (http://www.mildurabrewery.com.au/beers.php?id=desert) recently. It's a fine one for warmer weather.
Cascade Pale Ale is a nice reasonably cheap beer.

In no particular order, my current faves are:

Harp's Lager
Red Tail Ale
Mirror Pond Pale Ale
Chimay Trappist Ale
Pacifico

Guiness.

If anybody hands it to you other than on tap you kick them right in the nuts.

Saison DuPont or Maredsous Tripel for imports, Two Brother's Domaine DuPage and Great Lakes Burning River for domestics.

Oh, and the stuff I make myself.

Cerveza Pacifico Clara, Guinness, Sammy Adams whatever.  PBR on occasion, I know a couple of, clean and reasonable, places that have it on tap.

Alexander Keith's IPA

The PRIDE of Nova Scotia!

Bunk's list is very close to my list, just minus the Hoegarden. I've been drinking Rickard's White lately though. It's good with a slice of orange.

Alexander Keith's Pale Ale
Labbat 50 (300,000 natives can't be wrong)
Molson Export

Amazingly enough, I like Colt 45...as it was easily the cheapest brew in my university days and I developed a taste for it after hundreds of 40 oz. bottles.  "It works every time"

Not a fancy-schmancy connoisseur of beer (but I have tried most), but rather a blue-collar taste for strong beer.

I'm probably the only one that doesn't like Guiness.  Got sick on it once.  Had a Murphy's in Glasgow and that was pretty good.

I think I currently would most like a good hefeweizen.  Once had UFO and it was very good.  Otherwise my favorite beer to date is probably Terrapin Rye.  Rye beer is very gassy in both directions, but it was damn tasty.  I started drinking it before they put it into bottles, and I suspect it played a huge role in my current inability to drink beer.  There is also a Terrapin Pale Ale, and while it is also very tasty it just isn't as good as the rye.

Newcastle now lays siege to my brainpan, and it's off the list.

Several years ago I had a beer from Quebec at Le Cellier in EPCOT, I believe it was something from Cheval Blanc.  It had the cone in the bottom of the glass like a wine because it was fermented in the bottle.  That was excellent.

I should also mention the Scotch Ale in the current Sam Adams mix pack. Nice rich flavor, I enjoyed it. The fiancee made me buy a mix pack of Dundee beers, because it had a Hef and was $9. Haven't cracked it open yet.

I recall that Scotch Ale being really... coffee-ish. Or was it caramel? Heh. It was good, but I had the wrong meal for it at the time.

Pale Ale: Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
American IPA: Stone Ruination IPA
British IPA:  Samuel Smith IPA
Stout:  Rogue Shakespeare Stout
Imperial Stout: Old Rasputin
Barleywine:  Rogue Old Crustacean
Doppelbock: Celebrator Doppelbock
ESB:  Fullers ESB
Wheat:  Schneider Weisse Hefeweisen
Porter:  Fullers London Porter
Lager:  What's that?
Belgian style:  Unibroue Trois Pistoles

Crappy American beer:  PBR.  Period.  I've drank more of this than anything else combined.  Because I'm poor and it's cheap mainly, but I admit, it's a damn refreshing beer after work regardless of price.

How about a worst brews ever thread?  You would think the americans would run this category but I had the unfortunate experience of trying some of this in the early 90's:

Honestly, I think Bud Light would qualify as one of the worst. I don't understand why just about everyone drinks it. Go for Miller at the very least.

Well, the Goose Island Bourbon County Brand stout clocks in at 13%, so I'm going for yes.

it is like bitter beer anti-liqueur, watching the bubbles make it to the top makes you think of the Le Brea Tarpits and unfortunately after tasting you are reminded even more of said tar pits.

My wife loves it. It's her favorite beer (and she drinks more beer than I do  swamp poop ).  To me it tastes like beer flavored water.

My favorites would be (although, I'm more of a hard liquor person):
Guinness
Killian's Red (eh, drank a lot of it in college)
Pacifico
Sam Adams
I tend to like just about any darker beer I try.

Don't care much for Hefeweisen.  Dunno why, tastes too wheaty for me.

There's some pretty solid beers at the 13-15% range.  Barleywines or Belgians.

Sam Adams has a 25% beer called Utopias.  Now that is madness.
