Currently it's 5 am and I am posting from my phone in the car. I am either really stupid or overly dedicated to getting this game on time. Ill post again when the border cops rape me. Or when I find the apostrophe key on my phone.

I always liked the line, "Born and raised in South Detroit". Umm, where's that? Windsor? There really is no "South Detroit". Speaking of Windsor, why didn't you take me up on my offer to preorder the damned thing for you, Nix? I realize Buffalo is probably closer, but I had a sure thing, baby. Plus, you could join us in the debauchery that will be the Rock Band Thanksgiving 4-Day Weekend. Turkey, weed, booze, free tattoos and Rock Band! It'll be a goddamned Bacchanalia, I'm telling you!

So here's a run through of what went down this fine morning. 5:15 AM - Left my apartment 6:00 AM - Hit the border. Customs officer says "Here to get a game, aren't you? Like 200 of you passed through here for that tonight." Worried. 6:30 AM - Get to Target and see 1 car of people waiting, but no one lined up. 6:40 AM - Dunken Donuts. Shitty coffee. You need more Tim Horton's around. 6:50 AM - Make it a point to start the line. First! Teehee 7:30 AM - Line is at about 20-25 people. I win. 8:00 AM - Target opens. Every walks in a manner that anticipates someone wanting to run. 8:20 AM - I buy 2 copies of Rock Band. One for me and one for my friend. My buddy does the same. We end up exiting the store with 4 copies. I felt so greedy. 9:00 AM - Reach the border again. Canadian Customs lady asks 2 questions. "Proof of Citizenship and how many games?" We aren't the first to cross with Rock Band. We were actually the 30 something car to come through. 9:05 AM - Stand in line to pay our disgusting tax of 14%. Meet an entire store of EB employees who went down for the same thing. Apparently, there was this one guy at the Target they went to that bought 6 copies. Damn "scalpers." 10:00 AM - Make it back home. Setup Rock Band and play 5 songs before heading off to class. 11:40 AM - I'm in class right now posting this. I've had no sleep since yesterday and I haven't eaten anything since 10PM last night. ROCK BAND IS MY NEW MOTHERFUCKING!

12:10 am - went to local walmart.
12:11 am - fought with local walmart employee to retrieve ps3 version from the depths of hell that were so obviously behind those swinging metal doors.
12:12 am - fighting continued. local walmart employee declined, obviously afraid of depths of hell that were so obviously behind swinging metal doors.
12:13 am - convinced local walmart employee to retrieve ps3 version from the depths of hell by telling him i was from the gaming website f13.net and would give him a shout-out on the site.
12:14 am - paid for game that was retrieved form the depths of hell
12:15 am to 9:48 am - played, cursed stupid new guitar
9:50 am - delivered on promise to local walmart employee, "Thanks Gary."

Congratulations NiX! I'm glad that you didn't come back empty handed. Are you able to get the DLC? Word on the street is that Canadians don't have the ability to pick up DLC until the official Canadian release date...
As for me, my day was pretty uneventful. I work graveyard, so I came from work, dropped by the house to pick up my roommate, got their an hour early (the store opens at 10 am) to the consternation of my roommate. Bribed him with coffee, and we sat around and gossiped while a small group formed (more to get Mass Effect than Rock Band, I think). The Gamestop manager made sure he got just enough copies to cover preorders, and that was it. Picked up my order, went home, rocked our faces off.

If he got the PS3 version, I'd be shocked if he even had a canadian PS3 Store account. That said, I think canada and usa share the same PS3 store.

This is true, but fixed easily with a US live account (which I've done). My biggest issue right now is the patch. Is it out? If so, it's not showing up and I don't know why. This is under my US account.
