Older movies, some shadowrama, lots of riffing. Unlike rifftrax, it'll the movie with the soundtrack. Dunno if it'll be download&burn images, direct dvd sales, or streaming yet.

Should be starting up by xmas. Joel Hodgson, Trace Beaulieu, J. Elvis Weinstein, Frank Conniff, and Mary Jo Pehl.

I was actually a bigger fan of Mike than I was Joel. Or maybe they were just finding better shitty movies at that point.

Blasphemer! Although I would agree that Mike got the better movies to lambast. So Crow and TV's Frank are involved, but they left out the original Tom Servo.  cry

I will still totally watch this.

Um, Josh IS the original Tom Servo. Doctor Erhardt, from KTMA and season 1. Kevin Murphy came in season 2 on.

Josh (J Elvis) was the 'Mighty Voice' Servo

Oh, you are probably right. I just didn't see Kevin Murphy's name and was distraught.

God I used to love that show when I was a teenager.  And the thirty-hour marathons on Comedy Central for Thanksgiving.  Nostalgia.

now if they just did current flops it would be a double win, I'd actually be willing to sit through battlefield earth that way.  Now if we could just get the f13 game reviews to follow the MST3K format schild could actually start making some money off of his adsense  awesome, for real

Rifftrax does the audio for currentish release crap. Like Battlefield Earth http://www.rifftrax.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=45
You download an mp3 of an audio track, sync it to dvd playback of whatever shit film, and go.

They've done some funny stuff, but the sync can be a problem. With so much crap having multiple releases, you need to find the right one to get it to work. And they keep doing films I won't sit through even with riffing. Roadhouse, Phantom Menace, Star Trek (random number), BE, etc.

Roadhouse is perfect. Hell, I watch it whenever it is on and riff in my head! Plus there are boobies.

Damn I loved that show, Joel, Mike, they were both great but its been a long time since I've seen an early MST3K episode so my Joel memory involves about 5 movies.

The Joel vs. Mike debate is not even worth mentioning.

It is fantastic that they are both all back to riffing.

I'm as happy as a little girl.

If you want to catch up with old MST3K episodes, there is a complete archive (minus commercial releases) plus lots of the episodes in dvd format. The forums there aren't very active, it's an irc based community for the most part. Curmudgeonly, cynical, sarcastic and set in our ways. Plus several people you may have seen on the TF2 server.

Also some other old crappy shows, in pristine (hah!) quality.

Years ago, this idea crossed my mind. Problem is it would have to be commentator with some sort of gaming master. Whoever was playing would have to make the video entertaining. Otherwise there wouldn't be enough action and that shit would fall short. Very short.

I have found a few MST3K episodes on Youtube in 10 minute segments. Was stuck REALLY late at work a few months ago and watched Pod People in its entirety. God that is a classic ep.

I've been listening to the requests, really, but Real Life is hard.  I figure I'll get to that once I do a few F13 Podcats... which are pending.  Video, jeez, how the hell would I even do that?

Who cares who the original original voices were. Murphy, Beaulieu and Corbett sound way better and funnier than the KTMA voices of the robots.

EVE (inactive): Deakin Frost -- APB (fukken dead): Kayleigh (on Patriot).

Trace was the KTMA crow through the changeover to scifi in season 8, when Corbett took over. Kevin Murphy took over for Josh at the start of season 2, and kind of went from an imitation of Mighty Voice Servo to his own version over a couple years.

Not that it matters who was when, they were all pretty funny.
