Capcom is announcing a number of things this week. First of those announcements came today.   PS3/360. Given the MH3 Wii announcement, expect a portable announcement and another next-gen one. Here's to hoping they resurrect Strider. |

How can you get excited about a new one? It's obviously not going to play anything like the NES game, and there isn't really much of a story they can carry over. Essentially you're just getting the name, and a character with a grappling hook on the arm. It might well be a good game in its own right of course. |

LP grappling was pretty fun from what I played (looks like the same engine anyhow). As is the Spidey shit. It's not such a bad thing for someone to build a game around it.

Strider doesn't need to be resurrected. He has seen a lot more action that Rad has. They just need to make new Strider stuff. Rolling Thunder on the other hand MUST BE REVISITED. As well as Splatter House, at some point... Random Namco love...

Rolling Thunder is a Namco 86 based PCB. Just buy the arcade board. Also, it was awesome. I need to get Elevator Action Returns for the F3.
This thread on the other hand is about actual announcements coming from Capcom. Mega Man Legends is not an option, unfortunately. Already denied.

Looks pretty cool, though I would hope for a DS 2D game to supplement it if possible.
And Strider had a game on the PS1 that nobody cared about sadly.
I'm not sure what long dead Capcom game I would want brought back myself.

Street Fighter 4
Development has just begun and the release of the game is more than a year away. No platforms are yet confirmed - a highly stylised animated concept trailer of Ryu and Ken fighting was shown, but no game footage.
Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice
A new character and new series starring a rookie lawyer. Phoenix Wright makes an appearance but is not the lead character. Made specifically for DS.
Lost Planet (PS3)
Avaialable early next year and will include all bonus characters from the PC version and extra downloadable content from the 360 version making it the complete package. Made possible with Blu-ray. 16 player online over the PSN.
Dark Void
A new sci-fi action-adventure IP. Trailer showed third-person and air-vehicle gameplay with a character wearing a steam punk jetpack, skydiving and landing in the cockpit of a gyroscopic aircraft, and then jumping and climbing through airbase fortesses.
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD (Xbox Live Arcade)
The game will feature a spectator mode and is scheduled for a 2008 while the team try and get zero lag for the online mode. Also features stat tracking and widescreen. Original music from Street Fighter 2 will be used, plus remixed versions of all those tunes. Stolen from Neogaf. In this thread, Capcom wins hearts. |

Commando 3 coming out - awesome.
Okami to the Wii - first fitting thing I've seen for the system. Plan:
1. Release Okami for PS2.
2. Profit.
3. Shut down Clover.
4. Piss people off.
5. Release it for the Wii to shut them the hell up.
