For those interested: http://media.libsyn.com/media/gasp/FE_UNCUT.mp4 (99 megs, easiest to watch in Quicktime) That's part 1; part 2 hasn't been posted yet afaik. Interesting (for me anyway) - another MMOFPS but one that seems to be offering a wide range of MMO options like crafting and the like while also following FPS conventions in allowing for stealth or run and gun play. Of course, FE has been in development for six or so years and still doesn't have a release date... but the gameplay footage looks okay.

I've tried to get interested in this game and I just can't. On every angle it gives off the "Underfunded, Under-Fun" vibe.

I'll be interested once I get an actual status update.

Tuned in, immediately get to watch cringey Ubisoft talking head offering her deepest sympathies to the families impacted by the Orlando shooting while flanked by a man in a giraffe suit and some sort of "horrifically garish neon costumes through the ages" exhibit or something. We need to stop this fucking planet right now and sort some shit out. -Kail

Why am I homeless? Why do all you motherfuckers need homes is the real question. They called it The Prayer, its answer was law Mommy come back 'cause the water's all gone

I cant see this from work, so two questions, is this the one from MOGarmy? if not, is there another download anywhere? (Work firewall prevents most streaming sites) EDIT: As far as " underfunded", you know Icarus Studios is selling the tech as a middleware platform, and have had some takers.

Yeah, this is the MOGarmy one.
I keep an eye on FE because it has a lot of nice sounding features and the tutorial demo gave off a STALKER vibe on a bigger scale.
However, it has no release date, has been in development for six or so years and its official forums stink of fanboi's hopeful desparation that one day this game will come out. The first area is being demoed somewhere like Gencon (go and check the site if you want exact details) so people might be able to check it out there.

I think I tried it at GDC for about ten minutes. If it's the game I'm thinking of, the interface is clunky and terrible and the game itself (from what I saw) was the usual classes/levels/stats/quests stuff. Except that for ranged combat (guns), you have to aim FPS-style and if you're aiming right, you get the dice-roll shit to determine if you hit and for how much.

It is a Mogarmy one, but its different than the three parter they put out a while ago, so this was new to me, Thanks! ( Went home and watched it). There is some good stuff in that video, and some interesting concepts, if that guys wasn't BSing. It reminds me of... (ducks) SWG Pre-CU. /runs out of thread.. I think I tried it at GDC for about ten minutes. Can't be it, because there are no classes in FE. Also, as that video stated: Unlike Tabula rasa. If you are aiminng and you "Hit" the target, YOU HIT IT, None of this miss crap. Dice rolls are only used to calculate damage, NOT HIT OR MISS. ( yay!) This is all confirmed in that video.

Whatever I played struck me as clunky and uninteresting.

Nothing pissed me off more than being in someones face, shotting them point blank, and seeing *Miss* fly over the heads. They also said, if you cant aim, you MISS. Something that TR also doesn't do.

Yeah, I liked this feature too. I was playing another online game that roll dice for if you hit or not. Nothing more frustrating than lining up two shotguns at close range and missing with both of them because you get a bad roll. I will say that even that demo looked a bit clunky - the 'killing a guy with a lead pipe' looked pretty blocky. However, we'll see.
