Edit: Microsoft .NET Patch May Make PCs Go "Haywire"

Install that one at your own risk.


3 Critical security fixes including an Excel remote code execution flaw.

Note that the Microsoft Update site nows requires you to download and install the Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool before you can install patches using that site.

I noticed that Windows Update works via Firefox now.  Snazzy.

It does install some ActiveX, so maybe you are being too tight on security.

Firefox does not come with ActiveX support by default.

I admit that I cannot remember what exactly it did since I was installing/updating VS C# Express and my mind was elsewhere, I just know it worked after a download of something or other.

God dammit.  I happen to have a weird problem with GalCiv II after a reboot.  Now I'm thinking it might be .NET, dammit.
