I like how the show is called Tomorrows Pioneers.  That has all kinds of icky implications.

It really is useless news but I imagine this thread will be headed to the politics forum post haste.

Edit:  Now this is a choice quote:

Quote
On Friday, the character said he cheated on his exams because "the Jews destroyed my house," and he lost his books under the rubble.

also
Quote
"We don't incite. We present facts,"
I wonder if there is a translated version of the show on youtube yet?

I love how the producer and characters go on to describe how Muslims will (forcibly) take back areas of the world, and then peace and good will reign. All while criticizing the US and Israel.

Yeah, it's nothing new. I'm just curious whether people will ever fucking understand that you can't force your idea of a perfect society upon an unwilling group of people.

They don't want to force ideas on other people, they just want to kill them. We're the only idiots who still subscribe to the idiotic idea of societal conversion.

No, I don't think we are. Pretty sure every religious based community believes that.

In fact, dead sure. Every religious text I've ever read presents this idea. Some are just more violent than others. Though they all end in some sort of death/judgement. Including, as far as I can tell, Scientology.

I was referring more to the nationstate governance side rather than the soulsaving religious side. You know, the whole American idea of democracy working everywhere? Hell, it hardly works here.

I understood exactly what you meant, and my point was that there has never been a time in America's history that our government has been so stupidly drunk with religion.

You worded that in such a way that it could mean many different things, so I'm just going to forget about it.

Ferris: I do have a test today, that wasn't bullshit. It's on European Socialism. I mean, really, what's the point? I'm not European. I don't plan on being European. So, who gives a crap if they're Socialists? They could be fascist anarchists, it still wouldn't change the fact that I don't own a car. It's not that I condone facism. Or any ism for that matter. Isms, in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an ism, he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me." Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus, I'd still have to bum rides off of people.

Goo Goo a choob ( sorry, just couldn't resist) . For me, please, listen to "working class hero". Then find a mirror and look at your self. There are some people I call "The poets of my generation" John Lennon was one.

Yes, because all the smart people know that if you just get rid of whatever group of people you list as undesirable, the world will be a better place.

It could mean many different variations on the current government goes about its nation-building not in a liberal "democracy will save you" way ala the 90's and places like Bosnia but more in a "our Christian way of living, which has something to do with democracy, will save you, but first stop being so damn Muslim".

A nation consists of its laws. A nation does not consist of its situation at a given time. If an individual's morals are situational, then that individual is without morals. If a nation's laws are situational, that nation has no laws, and soon isn't a nation.
