Hamilton reckons the line could be tricky with the sand but that he'll have the start to try and claim the first corner.

I had to register just for this topic :)

I loved the start of the race. Poor lewis must have been sleeping and Massa had it all  sewn up shortly after the first corner. I really am getting sick of all the "Lewis this" and "Lewis that"

Also, it was really a shame about the 2 Red Bull Cars to go as DC was having an amazing drive.

I watched the Bahrain race.  (7:00 AM EST).  It's a shame there is so little on track overtaking in F1.  I think that pass on Alonso was the on track passing in the Top 5 all season.  To the casual fan that doesn't know the politics behind F1, the show must look like a funeral procession at high speed.

No to all.  I bring great shame to my people.   :-(

What, already? Its only been a couple of weeks. After a decade of constant Schumacher fawning, you ought to be made of tougher stuff. :P It's only going to get worse. The kid is dynamite.

No kidding. That was some of the best driving I've seen from DC in a long time.

Hi,  I’m just trying to get a rough swag on people’s knowledge and interest in Auto Racing.  It’s purely for my own interest in wondering about Formula 1 exposure in the United States.

1)Have you ever watched a Formula 1 race on TV or in person?
2)If so, when?
3)Have you ever watched a NASCAR (Nextel Cup) race on TV or in person?
4)If so, when?
5)Can you name 5 drivers from either series?

Thanks

Damn, didn't see this thread.

1) Yes, I've watched a couple dozen on TV and I've watched F1 cars practice at Sears Point a few times.
2) Uhh can't remember the last time. It was last season some time.
3) Briefly on TV, on accident.
4) Who knows.
5) No, unless you are talking about people who have retired from F1 as well, BUT

6) I have watched every single WRC rally event for the last 5 years, including the expanded euro coverage usually. (torrents, tv coverage as in "it actually shows up on my cable feed" is crapola.)
6a) I can name about 2 dozen drivers and about a dozen co-drivers.
