Just picked this up last night, but haven't had a chance to play it yet. It has a 'Campus Legend' mode which is similar to the Madden Career mode from last year. Sounds like fun, and should be enough football to get me by until Madden comes out next month.

I've been debating this one as well though I probably need to wait until next month, especially if I plan to pick up Persona 3.

Finally got some quality time with this over the weekend. Holy CRAP is it fun. The Dynasty mode has some pretty deep recruiting stuff involved, and the Campus Legend mode is a hoot. I may look to tweak the default AI a bit before my next play session-  TONS of turnovers, both fumbles and INTs. You can even export your graduating classes to Madden 08 (when it comes out), so it is perfect to pick this up now in ancticipation!
