Awhile back, in a thread I can't seem to find, there was discussion about some new can't-talk-about-yet SOE MMO project that was under deverlopment. This was to specifically use the microtrans model, and not be fantasy.

Could this Spy-themed MMO be that one?

Isn't SOE making a DC Online MMO?  Or did that collapse?

What is the address? Maybe I can sneak by and press my nose against one of the windows over the weekend.

"I believe we were all speculating once about what the new SOE office in Seattle would do.  In this release it mentions the IP is coming from this new office.  So that's their thingy -- SOE's spy game. "

I thought the mystery wound up being that card game they bought, maybe this is a different mystery.

They are seriously going the top secret way.
I have a friend in the dev team and he/she refuses to say anything at all.
He/She only talked about "lore".  Does that applies to an espionage MMO?

Sure.  Why couldn't something like that have lore?  I even have lore.

PS  hehe... thanks, Soln.

So does reading this lore slowly make you go insane, or is that just a prerequisite to reading it?

You want to have a doctor take a look at your lore.  Even if it turns out to be just benign backstory.

If it's a Cthulu game, don't read the lore - the old ones will make you insane.

"We think this will take espionage entertainment to a new level."

But I thought they already took espionage to a new level - with root kits? So then would this be a New - new level?

Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley has told GamesIndustry.biz that the company is set to launch an as yet unannounced new IP later this year.
So announcing a game, running a community forum full of retards for 2-3 years next to the actual development, followed by another 3-6 month beta is called a launch? Fuck this shit.

EVE (inactive): Deakin Frost -- APB (fukken dead): Kayleigh (on Patriot).
