This article is possibly the most pathetic piece of garbage I've ever seen in print, hometown shopping ad rag sheets included.  I'm not sure what it says about the story ratings that it has a 2.5 rating out of 5 with 60 votes.

I'm not just annoyed that the article is devoid of any actual news, lacks either point or perspective, and is an unadorned puff piece for Jack Thompson.  It is the feeling that it was completely phoned in, perhaps to meet a deadline postponed too long by a marathon MMO raid, or a CounterStrike binge.

Utterly useless.

Sorry there isn't anything amusing here, I'm simply sharing my disgust in the spirit of the Festivus season.

"It was a difficult party" - an unexpected word combination from ex-Merry Prankster and author Robert Stone.

Jared Newman should look into different career, one that does not involve a lot of writing or researching facts. Article is just poorly written.

Why is it that two of the biggest banes of my existence have the first name Jack? Is it evil of me to wish that Jack Thompson and Jack Chick would kill each other in a head-on car crash?

Quote
What makes Thompson so bothersome is that he's articulating the fear of many parents that the violence and sex in the videogames their kids play may be harmful.
Then why don't the parents tell their little hellspawn 'NO'?

What makes him bothersome is that he is an idiot who should be railing against parental irresponsability whichs lets children play games meant for adults.

That truly was a shittastic article. This guy gets paid to write that tripe? It didn't even end with a conclusion, it just kind of petered out, like the Benadryl had finally kicked in and he had to go to sleep.

Thank you, Jared Newman, for elevating the quality of my writing to well above legitimate.

I'd say an infusion of silliness would be a definate improvement.

Hmm, maybe reindeers could fly with minimal propulsion needed if they were made of hollow plastic.

I always imagined Santa as more squishy.  And less shiny.

Santa's on the left.  In the grass skirt.

He's had a few procedures.

I'll say.  Santa looks amazing for being a few centuries old.  I wonder if we can get the name of Santa's surgeon.
