Your tv doesn't have VGA? If it does, it should run fine.

At the risk of looking like a dumbass, isn't the PC Video input the VGA input?

Have you tried the internet? It's made out of millions of people missing the point of everything and then getting angry about it

Tough to call. Could be either one. My TV is dual HDMI, VGA, Dual component, dual S-video, single composite - no DVI.

The Xbox 360 has no HDMI output so you are talking about converting VGA to DVI to HDMI or component to HDMI both of which require expensive adapter boxes since you need to convert analog signals to digital and support all the copy protection crap of HDMI.

That'll be good if they can release it at that price. The cheapest adapter box I've seen so far is $200.

The basic output of a video card is VGA, correct?

Speaking of which...my video card has some sort of socket add-on that changes the socket on the card used from the old VGA slot to the newer HDMI-looking kind...

My monitor is no great shakes, just a KDS CRT unit. Would it even be worth bothering with?

Or DVI.

Eh? Do you mean VGA to DVI? Or VGA to HDMI (that would be very odd on a PC video card)?

You can find inexpensive VGA-component dongles online can't you?

Adapters on video cards are DVI to VGA.

You can find cheap VGA to component dongles at Fry's. Hell, Best Buy sells one for $60 (they don't have Fry's in your area Hat, obviously, but there is a Best Buy up in Owings Mills with a Magnolia Hi-Fi with the dongle you need).

I used to work at the one in White Marsh.  It wasn't for me, I've got no issue with playing games at 720p.  None of the games for X360 are going to be designed in 1080p so there's no reason, my TV will display it just fine on Zoom.

It's kind of a moot point, I need to find $3000 to buy up some systems/games that I want to get.

Note: $3000 that I won't use to finish my basement, get a deck, new carpet, bills, mortgage, or credit card bills.
