Yeah, AMDs tend to run hotter. It's somewhat annoying - it actually raises my room temperature.

I see that as a bonus in the wintertime.

I'm doing a lot of OCR ( optical character recognition) at work on a Pentium D. The thing is a blast furnace it's allready discolored the furnature and I fully expect it to burn the building down. Speaking of heat do any of you own a xbox 360? The thing is increadable with the heat it pours out.

I started with nothing, and I still have most of it

I'm not a complete idiot... Some parts are still on backorder.

You can try running something like CPU-Z to confirm the speed it's running at.
Had a chance to run this. Says 12.5, so I should be square.
