I assumed the writer was using someone else's words to describe AC2.  He doesn't seem to have any familiarity with mmogs.

The game may not be gory but playing it is.

It was only gory because players gouged out their own eyes and chopped off their own hands out of raw boredom.

I have never played WoW.
